One day a few years ago I decided to hitch hike to the ski resort for no reason really. I had a car that ran just fine, I lived on the free bus route but just felt compelled to hitch a ride if the bus didn’t come before. I was quickly picked up by a kid a little older than myself from Hawaii. He was headed to the same resort so I showed him around. We became immediate friends and it turned out he was a kiteboarding instructor and total badass. I had always seen kiteboarding on water and thought it looked so cool but never thought I would ever have the opportunity to learn. He ended up teaching me to kite and opening up my world to snow kiting. This sport is so interesting and there is so much room for creativity and progression. I think it’s easy to get caught up in the stories and see the worst of humanity on the news but the vast majority of people are just trying to get by and live a happy life. Looking forward to the people I meet, the things I’m going to learn and the experiences I have ahead of me. Big thanks to @thekitewizard for showing me the way!

Today might be this girl’s birthday! We adopted Pippi through a rescue group, so her actual birthday is a mystery - we think it’s this month, though! Pippi turns two years old and is the best b&b dog we could ask for. She greets all of our guests like they’re her best friends, and she is a pretty good trail guide. We love our stubborn, goofy, sweet pup. #bedandbreakfastdog#bandbdog#adventuredog#hikingwithdogs#happybirthday
So after many requests, I've spent today putting together a calendar. I hope to make it available next week. My plan is to donate half the money raised to charity and the other half will go towards keeping mine and Mya's adventures going. In all honesty, I have no idea how much we will raise, but I need some help coming up with some worthy charities to donate to. Could you please name or tag a charity below and tell us briefly, where they are based, what they do and why they deserve everyone's support?

Baby Baruk has been a bit sick this week😣 He was not wanting to eat, and was not being his usual goofy, happy self. I took him to the vet and a blood test showed hat he might have Erlichia (tick born disease) and he's on antibiotics now. Luckily we caught it on time, and he's feeling a lot better after only 2 days of treatment❤. About four years ago (when Frankie was exactly Baruk's age) Frankie got Erlichia, and was critically ill. Unfortunately we caught it very late, and it is a miracle that he made a full recovery - after a long year of ups and downs -. In Panama, it is very common for dogs to get this. Even if your dog has "protection" against ticks, it only takes one bite from an infected tick to make a dog sick.
FINALLY a weekend off with my dog!! I actually get excited to know that I’ll have two free days off with my girl where we can do whatever the hell we want to 🤣 How does your day play out? For us we get up, get ready & go to the park or for a walk, sometimes (okay a lot of the time) stop in at the pet store, come home & snuggle, repeat 🤣 We go out at least twice a day, if not more!
Thank you so much to @knottypets for sending us this gorgeous army green leash/collar combo! Can’t get over how gorgeous these products are! You can use our code ‘callie10’ when you shop with them!
