A “Happy Place” can be anywhere!!
This is mine..
The funny thing is I used to think it was impossible to work from home. Like how could someone possibly get anything done. I’ll say even when I first started out it was rough. I’d get easily distracted. Like a dog who spots a squirrel 🐿. Not even kidding. I had severe glitter syndrome 🤦🏻♀️. Over time I learned new skills. How to plan accordingly. How to set timers. How to get the most out of what I am doing. And each day a new lesson is still taught and learned..
I cannot even describe just how thankful 🙏🏻 I am to be able to do this and work towards a happier more fulfilling future for my family.

Indorow has become my favorite workout for a million reasons. I love the cardio workout and getting out of my comfort zone. I love that clients of all ages can also get that same feeling without pressure on their knees. I love that everyone at every age can do this. I love that my stomach is sore after class ~ like I just did an hour’s worth of crunches sore. I love that when my music was fading in and out ~ thanks Bluetooth 😬 that the sound of the water made me want to row faster. Most of all I love that once you come to class you end up loving it too. See you at 12:15💪🏻 Game On!

I know I’ve primarily focused on health from the side of food & nutrition, but what’s even closer to my heart is emotional, mental & spiritual wellness. I’ve found that not many people are willing to approach this topic on a personal level — because it’s messy. And you know what? That’s okay. It’s okay not to have your ish together... I for sure don’t lol
Sure, there are hashtags and even movements behind the idea, and I think that’s great! So please don’t take that the wrong way. But what I would like to see more of are PRACTICAL ways to ACHIEVE mental, emotional & spiritual wellness! It takes more than posting a picture or saying the classic one-liners. (Which are still truthful, mine you.) So since I wanted to see real people doing realistic things to help with OVERALL wellness it dawned on me that I have the platform to do so.. so why not be and do exactly what I crave to hear and see?
That brings me to yoga — one of my most favorite things in the world!! The “health benefits” are literally innumerable in each of the categories I’ve previously mentioned. It isn’t just the physical postures that bring strength, or the “spiritual woohoo” that it gets a bad wrap for. Yoga is a far deeper practice that builds wholesome, REAL wellness to one’s entire self — mind, body & spirit!
As an already certified Yoga Instructor and current masters student, I’ve had the privilege of diving deep into this ancient practice and have learned so much. So within the next week or so, I plan to write on *some* of the health benefits of yoga and why I am so passionate about it! So be on the lookout for it 😊
Also, yoga is FLIPPING FUN so like why wouldn’t you wanna at least give it a try?! •
• If you’re interested in yoga & don’t know where to begin, feel free to dm me & we’ll getcha going!
Happy Wednesday ✌🏼
Breakfast, snack, dessert or all three!?
⅓ cup @sproutliving Drinkable Oats Spice or Pumpkin Protein Powder
⅔ cup cassava flour
1 cup almond flour
½ cup coconut sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp cinnamon
2 large eggs or flax eggs
1 cup pumpkin puree
¾ cup almond milk
¼ cup melted coconut oil
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat the oven to 375º. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with parchment paper muffin liners and set it aside.
Combine all the dry ingredients in a small mixing bowl and mix well to combine. Set this bowl aside.
Combine all the wet ingredients in a large mixing bowl and whisk until they are completely combined.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a smooth batter is formed.
Scoop the batter into the lined muffin tin and sprinkle the pumpkin seeds over each muffin. Bake them for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the muffins comes out clean.
Allow the muffin to cool 10-20 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

G E T • m o v i n g ✖️ what helps you to keep motivated? Is it writing goals down? Do you do the whole vision board thing? Do you team up with friends to motivate each other? Do you trust that positive change is happening every time you try, even if you don’t see ‘results’? Do you take ‘progress videos’ to monitor changes in how your bod moves? Do you use routine to keep consistent? Have you not thought about using tools yet to keep yourself on track? ✨ the fun part, is that there’s no wrong way, it’s your life and your body, this is your adventure 🤸🏻♀️ @pilateshouseaustralia

Day by day I'm wondering how my life got so wild. The more time I take to reflect on the journey I've been on over the last few years, it amazes me how so many seemingly trivial decisions have compiled to create this beautiful life that I'm so happy to be living.
My recent road trip to Arizona with @nickuthe was the perfect catalyst for deeper reflection into this. A sort of reunion to bring things full circle as one of Nick and I's first major adventures together brought us to Sedona almost exactly 2 years ago.
Fortunate for all the memories I've made traveling and excited for all the opportunities that are yet to come.

We’ve all heard the phrase “You never know what someone else is going through, so be kind”, yet there are times (often when we’re too busy or our hearts are closed) where we can be quick to judge another, rise to anger, or take things personally, or not even notice the kindness of others.
I was speaking with a couple the other day (at the local coffee shop) and during the conversation they mentioned to me that they had hoped for ‘nice’ neighbours, when the property next door to them had been bought (20 odd years ago). Their opinion and (long held) belief is that their neighbours are not nice people (as they are different from them). I left that conversation feeling a little sad for the couple as I know the neighbours they were speaking of, and yes they are different (to the coffee shop couple) - in terms of social and monetary status, appearances and lifestyle - and because of those differences, they had judged and (incorrectly) formed their (long-held) opinions and beliefs. But in doing so, had completely missed noticing that their neighbours where in fact quite nice, very kind, helpful and caring people.
I saw this conversation as a good reminder to remain open - to kindness, to see it within others, to be kind to others (as well as myself) and to let go of expectations and ideas of how ‘nice’ or ‘kind’ people ‘should’ look (and be). Moral of the story; Be kind, not because it’s cool or ‘nice’ or you want good karma but just because....KINDNESS....yeah? It matters. It’s kind to be kind.
It’s compassion. It’s being open hearted.
And lastly, if you find you’ve been not as kind as you know you could of been, please don’t go getting all unkind and beating yourself up about it. Kindly remind yourself that your human and next time you’ll remember to do better.
G xx .
I choose self discovery. I choose personal growth. And above all I choose happiness 💕

A few days ago @yogamattershq asked me to be part of a post they were putting together for ‘Blue Monday’ about what makes us happy.
As much as I hate to admit it I had to think.
Because the thing is mid-eating disorder you forget yourself, and a few years down the line you can’t remember what makes you happy outside of being thin. I think this you have to relearn - or at least, tune back in, and reconnect. And actually I think we have to approach it in a different way than the things that come to the forefront of our minds - because habitually the answers that now come up are skewered.
So instead I asked myself what am I doing when I lose myself most. What makes me forget about the eating disorder, being thin, and food? When do I expand out of that?
This was my answer:
The moments I lose myself; moving on my yoga mat; pushing myself at crossfit; quiet breakfasts in my favourite coffee shop between busy things; picnics on the floor of our little house.
Yesterday I saw a post that said I am a human becoming - not a human being. This is kind of what this feels like. What would your answer be?

Just kidding... this is one of those Instagram vs reality photos... these pictures say look how fun I’m having, but what we didn’t capture was the crying the occurred when the skis were strapped to her feet 😂. Oh well, it was a good first try! #jerryoftheday
