I discovered the wondrous chore breaker that is podcasts this year & I honestly just can't stop listening to them. I love hearing YA authors' stories esp. and writing processes as I try plotting myself and doing chores at times.
I haven't done anything as planned for this break so far. I haven't cracked open a book nor watched any shows/kdramas. What I've been doing instead is listening to podcasts and fussing with myself about not writing & trying to write but never doing it. I'm in a really trashy case right now & today it's all the same, I'm still attempting some sort of improvement with my writing life. I really want this as a career & I can't stress this enough, my biggest fear is having to work a 9 to 5 job til I'm god knows how old and having done nothing creative with my life.
So fight for those goals I must. Maybe I should cancel social media for a while and see how that goes, but who knows 🤷🏾♀️ : :
Holland held up his cuffed hands. "You do realize, Delilah, that these won't stop me."
"Of course not," she said with a feral grin. "But they'll slow you down long enough that I can."
Holland sighed. "As you wish," he said, just before Jasta slammed her fist into his cheek. His head snapped sideways and his boots slid back a step, but he didn't fall.
"Jasta!" called Kell as the other Antari flexed his jaw and spit a mouthful of blood into the dirt.
"Anyone else?" asked Holland darkly.
"I wouldn't mind a go-" started Alucard, but Kell cut him off.
"Enough," he snapped, the ground rumbling faintly with the order. "Alucard, since you volunteered, Holland can ride with you."
The captain sulked at the assignment, even as he hauled the chained Antari up onto the horse.
"Try anything..." he growled.
"And you'll kill me?" finished Holland dryly.
"No," said Alucard with a vicious smile. "I'll let Bard have you."

Happy #merchmonday Angels!
Talk about a candle haul for this one. I was so proud of myself when I finally bought from @auroracandle.co and she made me the best custom Holland candle around 😎 He was a character I felt deserved a candle in my collection so to get one from a company from home was perfect! It smells like flowers, dragons blood and smoke.
Which kind of bookish merch do you have the most of?
Mine is clearly candles and soap too I think. #BookishCanadiansMar19

Hello from homework headquarters! I’m about to go take a break and run to Barnes & Noble for a minute (your girl has got to get out of the house) but wanted to wish everyone a great weekend!
• #QOTD : which fictional multiverse do you love the most?
I really love the world-building in the A Darker Shade of Magic series. Four worlds where they intersect on one city? One type of magician who can cross between worlds? Historical magic drama? YES PLEASE.
Like, even if a series isn’t my absolute favorite ever (I’ll be honest: I’m more of a Villains series girl) I think Schwab killed it with the world-building here. There’s so much going on and so much that I want to know about it all!
Oh and PSA: go read her Steel Prince comic for some of the history and YES, there is a sequel series to ADSOM, it’s Threads of Power. No, there isn’t a release date yet (that I’m aware of lol).
So yes, this is my #StackSaturday , which I did solely to show off my new collectors edition of A Gathering of Shadows! I prefer the black collectors editions - I haven’t been getting the B&N covers (your girl has limited space, okay). I also am OBSESSED with the four London postcards that came in @illumicrate’s Magic & Mayhem box (you’ve gotta check out their special edition boxes, they’re to die for).

Good morning! I’m a third of the way through A Conjuring of Light. The plot has taken off soaring, and there’s so many more character perspectives. I’ve just been breezing through it. That first scene with Lila... ahh it’s so good.
I finally own the book copy of my dreams. I can't wait to read A conjuring of light right after my 2 planned reads this weekend. I'd plan to read it next month but I just can't waif that long & I'd love to make the best of this spring break.
Also, I plan to buy more V E Schwab books and I'm eying This savage song and Our dark duet as of late,if you've read this duology how did you feel about it? .
Finished 'A Gathering of Shadows' already and it was pretty good. Although the pace slowed a bit due to it being a bridge/setting the stage for the final acts/the last book. I loved Kell so much in this and I enjoy how fircely protective he is of his brother. The family dynamic played out really nicely and I like how early Schwab laid the groundwork for their conflicts and tension. Alucard was a fantastic addition to the cast and I'm really looking forward to what he'll bring to Conjuring. Lila got some of her layers pulled back and it was hilarious to see her witness the Kell/Alucard bickering. ..I don't want to give away too much but the third book is going to be so wild. I'm putting off finishing because I kinda don't want it to end.

Honestly? I haven’t finished this trilogy yet. I know I should and I’ll probably love it, but I read book one and just...haven’t gotten to the other books yet. 🤦🏼♀️ What are some series you haven’t finished yet?
The last 'Shades of Magic' card for @foxandwit, featuring Holland! I really loved working on this series, and this card ended up being one of my favorites! Holland's story is so interesting (I ended up liking him waayyyy more than I expected) and White London is such a chilling setting.
“whatever I am, let it be enough.” Finished Lila for my hands get back to work, holidays made me lazy man. I love the gray blue dress she wore on book 2 (you know I love dresses) so I decided to paint her with my personal "touch". I still haven't finished book 3, even I can finish the book in one go but you know that feeling when you don't want something so good to end so soon *sigh*
(Btw, they should restock Vicious UK hardback edition, I've been waiting for months then some of you confirmed me they won't be back as they're out of prints, why man, those editions would look perfect with my Shades of Magic on my shelf -____-) Lila Bard from Shades of Magic by @veschwab
