Live. A full-set @fpjourneofficial Chronomètre Bleu, produced in the rare, dark-grey metal, tantalum. Rarely used in watchmaking due to its difficulty to work with, tantalum is highly resistant to both corrosion and wear. It is also a non-allergenic metal, and so perfectly suited to be worn on the wrist. Measuring at just 8.6mm thick, the Chronomètre Bleu comfortably fits beneath a cuff, and is made distinctive by Journe’s signature ‘flat crown’ with a rope like pattern. The polished-dial is uncommon and displays various shades of blue, complimenting the grey-blue colour of tantalum. Together, these blue overtones give the watch its name. The signature F.P. Journe style hands are off-white , and contrast the polished dial to improve legibility. The in-house Calibre 1304 is made entirely of 18-carat rose-gold, and seen through the sapphire caseback. The movement has two mainspring barrels in parallel, which work together, powering the movement. Most impressively, is the chronometric balance fitted into the movement, which helps to provide the accuracy that F.P. Journe has based his watchmaking around. The hand finishing is expertly conducted, mixing a combination of circular graining with sunburst and wave patterns. Live Now. A one-of-a-kind, 40mm steel Laurent Ferrier ‘Galet Classic’ Micro-Rotor, first prototype, as indicated by the movement and case-back engraving. This watch was previously sold at @onlywatch_official 2011, having initially served to house Laurent Ferrier’s newly developed, in-house caliber LF 229.01. This special timepiece was the first of the line, and was used as a prototype during the final test stages of the Micro-Rotor’s development. The dial is delicately textured, with concentric ‘waves’ radiating from the centre, interrupted only by Laurent Ferrier’s guilloché-worked, flinqué motif and subsidiary-seconds dial. On top of this, are @laurent_ferrier ’s signature ‘Assegai’-shaped hands. The index markers and hands are subtle in form, and correspond harmoniously in shape. Like the front, the case-back is covered by a sapphire crystal, revealing the "PROTOTYPE" engraving on the movement. The finishing is a major focus for the Galet Micro-Rotor, with contrasts established between the perlaged backdrop and the thick circular grained Geneva Stripes on the bridges. Prototypes are usually closely-guarded by manufacturers, with the majority featuring in the the brands' own museums and collections. With so few production pieces leaving Laurent Ferrier’s Atelier d'Horlogerie, this example represents an extremely rare opportunity to acquire an important piece of independent watchmaking heritage. Live. A full set, white-gold @voutilainenwatches Vingt-8R, made as part of a limited edition of 25, at the Voutilainen workshop in Môtiers, near Geneva. It has three different engine-turned patterns on the silver dial. Each reflects light differently, giving it a mixture of tones and depth. An asymmetric power-reserve, applied Arabic numerals and blued-steel Breguet hands add a further layer of complexity to this classic piece. Our La Rochelle navy blue calfskin strap and Kari Voutilainen's signature tear-shaped lugs finish off this rare interpretation of the Vingt-8; showing both the watchmaker's uncompromising attention to detail and craftsmanship. This V-8R is just as impressive inside the case; the sapphire crystal on the reverse allows for an uninterrupted view of the movement, revealing the rich palette of hues and forms. The in-house, modified Cal. 28 is made from German silver and titanium, with frosted finishing throughout. Through the combination of a free-sprung balance with Breguet overcoil, a Grossmann interior curve, and the signature direct impulse escapement with two large (13.6mm) escapement wheels, a high degree of engineering ingenuity is accomplished. One of the hallmarks of Voutilainen as a manufacture is their superlative hand-finishing; with expert anglage and a mixture of polished, brushed and frosted surfaces, the aesthetics of the movement is as impressive as the mechanics. Originally introduced in 1956, as the reference 6510 and 6511, the Day-Date was designed as a luxury sports-watch, manufactured exclusively in precious metals. Perhaps one of the most famous of a breed of dress-watches from the late 1950s and early 60s, the reference is simple and clean in design, with excellent resistance to both shock and moisture. Understated in appearance and size, it offers a practical, versatile alternative to the brand’s other highly-purposeful wristwatches - Chronometer-certified, waterproof and with a near-perfect aesthetic balance. Colloquially referred to as the “President”, the Day-Date earned the nickname in a typically genius marketing move by the brand - reportedly gifting a watch to then President of the United States, Dwight Eisenhower. The brand claimed in its marketing materials of the time, that “Men who guide the history of the world, wear Rolex watches” and neither the watch’s ageless elegance, prestige, nor high value, have faded since. The “President” name is often associated with a particular style bracelet, accompanying many Day-Date watches. The reference 18039 was introduced in the 1970s and shares that classically Rolex quality, of utilitarian functionality, married with classical design. The watch come equipped with its original, 18-carat gold Rolex “president-link” bracelet and folding-clasp (stamped 8385). The bracelet is preserved in excellent condition, with minimal stretch throughout. The Day-Date combined many of Rolex’s most successful innovations, including a two-piece, screw-down case. This particular case dates to circa 1982 (serial 730 XXXX). Like the hour markers, the tritium lume on the hands has aged to a creamy yellow patina. Introduced in the late 1970s, the calibre 3055 was Rolex’s fifth generation Day-Date movement, featuring an increased beat rate of 28,800 A/h (up from 19,800) and highly-practical, single-quick-set date function. This replaced the cal. 1556, used since 1965. Available now.

Our white gold Patek Philippe 5930G Worldtime Chronograph is available now as a full set. Combining a time display (in 24 different timezones) and 30-minute flyback chronograph within the same watch, is no small feat. @patekphilippe achieved this through their caliber CH 28-520 HU - referred to as entirely-new, owing to the various modifications and new parts required, compared with existing calibres. Given the absence of a running seconds hand, the calibre was also developed to keep the chronograph-seconds hand running at all times, maintaining legibility. Typography details. The vaunted Lemania 2310 as realised by @roger_dubuis. This Hommage Bi-Retrograde Chronograph was chronometer tested at the Besançon Observatory and the movement carries the Geneva Seal, perhaps at a time when it was more highly respected. Part of a limited edition of 28 manufactured soon after the company was established in 1995.

Live. The Patek Philippe reference 5930G was first introduced at Baselworld in 2016, combining two of the most desirable complications from the brand - a chronograph function and world-time display. As with many recent pieces developed by @patekphilippe , the reference is loosely-based upon a historic watch - in this case the unique Ref. 1415 HU, from the 1940s. While the 5930G harks back to this much admired reference, its execution is decidedly modern. Beneath the beveled sapphire crystal, the blue dial is hand-guilloched in a circular pattern, contrasted by luminous-filled, applied white-gold indexes. The reference is also classically sized, at 39.5mm in case diameter and only 12.86mm thick, making it the world's smallest and thinnest world-time chronograph. A nod to its inspired design, the case of the 5930 further features ‘winglet’ style lugs and various brushed and polished finishes across the case. Live. A full-set @fpjourneofficial Chronomètre Bleu, produced in the rare, dark-grey metal, tantalum. Rarely used in watchmaking due to its difficulty to work with, tantalum is highly resistant to both corrosion and wear. It is also a non-allergenic metal, and so perfectly suited to be worn on the wrist. Measuring at just 8.6mm thick, the Chronomètre Bleu comfortably fits beneath a cuff, and is made distinctive by Journe’s signature ‘flat crown’ with a rope like pattern. The polished-dial is uncommon and displays various shades of blue, complimenting the grey-blue colour of tantalum. Together, these blue overtones give the watch its name. The signature F.P. Journe style hands are off-white , and contrast the polished dial to improve legibility. The in-house Calibre 1304 is made entirely of 18-carat rose-gold, and seen through the sapphire caseback. The movement has two mainspring barrels in parallel, which work together, powering the movement. Most impressively, is the chronometric balance fitted into the movement, which helps to provide the accuracy that F.P. Journe has based his watchmaking around. The hand finishing is expertly conducted, mixing a combination of circular graining with sunburst and wave patterns. All screw heads are polished and all edges neatly chamfered with a Côte de Genève motif on the bridges. Fitted on our dark grey nubuck Helsinki strap. New watch on the site. A rare and desirable salmon-dial variant of @vacheronconstantin’s Ref. 47101/47111 in platinum. Introduced in 1989, as part of the brand’s Historiques collection, the reference pays tribute to the Geneva watchmaker’s archives. Whilst the majority of reference 47101s were cased in yellow gold, very few examples are thought to have been made in platinum. This example displays the rare, engine-turned, salmon-dial with applied Arabic and baton numerals. With its 36 mm case diameter, the size of the 47111 is classically inspired - featuring down-turned, tear-drop lugs and a polished, chamfered bezel. The snap-on, display case-back, features the Maltese cross and manufacturer's hallmarks, along with its unique reference numbers. The watch carries Vacheron’s manual-winding 1140 caliber, based upon a thoroughly re-worked ‘Nouvelle Lemania’ 2310 ebauche - much like the @patekphilippe Ref. 5070. The movement is beautifully finished, with exquisite chamfering on all angles, polishing and decoration, in the form of Geneva striping. This watch is also accompanied by its box, original leather folder and product literature.
