Garibaldi's Hut. After the fall of the Roman Republic in 1849, Giuseppe Garibaldi stopped on the way in several villages and arrived in Cesenatico on the 2nd August, where he embarked on 13 boats (bragozzi) with 250 men, determined to reach Venice.
Intercepted by the Austrians, he was forced to stop 8km away from Magnavacca and so began the Trafila Garibaldina (Garibaldi's journey) which brought him to this hut after several stops. From this place, he moved then to Ravenna and finally at Forlì. He was then guided to Tuscany and Genoa in order to escape from the Austrians.
