If you’ve got curly hair, I highly recommend sleeping on a satin silk pillowcase. When you sleep on a cotton pillowcase, the tossing and turning causes friction between your head and pillow. This can result in hair breakage. Using a silk/satin scarf or satin pillowcase will greatly reduce that friction and maintain moisture in your hair. As an added bonus, stain pillowcases and sheets help to maintain the moisture in your skin, too! Making the switch from cotton to satin will protect both your curls and your glowing skin from moisture loss and friction.

I snoozed my alarm this morning and I woke up later than I regularly would. I was going to skip my morning workout but I then thought about the nine hour shift I'm responsible for today. If I can be held accountable at work...if I can be such a great employee: punctual, committed, and determined then I can do the same for myself.
Does anyone else spill on themselves when they drink water? The real struggle is lifting your arms after a workout. 💀😂😂😂

주변에서 식단에 관한 질문을 받을 때 마다 조금 어렵습니다. 저는 생각하시는 것 처럼 매 끼니 마다 관리를 하는 것도 아니고, 바짝 다이어트를 할때도 칼로리와 단백질 섭취량과 같은 것들을 계산해가면서 먹지는 않았기 때문입니다.
대신 습관적으로 지키고 있는 나름의 규칙들은 몇가지 있습니다. 음식점에서 흰쌀밥 한공기가 나오면 보통은 다 먹지 않습니다. 돈가스 같은 고칼리 음식을 먹은 날에는 다른 끼니를 가볍게 먹습니다. 물론 라면도 먹지만 국물까지 다 먹지는 않습니다. 음료와 같은 같은 단당류로 칼로리를 허비하지 않습니다. 밤 늦은 시간에 보통 탄수화물은 자제하고 몸이 무거워졌다 싶으면 유산소 운동의 비중을 높입니다.
다이어트를 목적으로 닭가슴살과 샐러드 등으로 하루아침에 식단을 180도 바꿨다가 쉽게 지쳐버리거나 다이어트 기간이 끝나면 요요현상으로 실망하는 경우를 많이 보게 됩니다.
맞습니다. 지속가능하지 않은 식단은 지속 불가능한 몸을 만들 수 있을 뿐 입니다. 주어진 시간 안에 최상의 성과를 내야하는 선수들과 같은 특수한 경우가 아니라면 과연 그런 극단적인 식단관리가 얼마나 큰 의미가 있을지 모르겠습니다.
다이어트는 생활 속에 자연스럽게 스며들어 지속 가능한 것이여야 하고, 그로 인해 얻어진 몸을 계속적으로 유지하는 것에 더 큰 의의가 있다고 생각합니다.

I’m not one to sit in the sun because
a) I get bored,
b) I feel anxious because I’m not being productive,
c) It’s damn hot.
• I am learning that just being IS being productive. It is a form of meditation. Our bodies and minds need active rest. It is OK to do nothing. In fact it’s necessary sometimes.

Let’s talk attraction, perception and judgement.
To me, the way a body looks is really whatevs. Like seriously.
Now the person from within can either be like HOT DAMN or HOLY NO 🤚🏼 Purely off of their character. The hottest person can QUICKLY turn ugly. Believe 👏🏼 me 👏🏼.
One thing that severely ruffles my feathers (especially when people know my career) is when people automatically assume judgement (from myself) upon their habits or physique. These people can and HAVE been family, friends, clients, romantic relationships, and people off the street.
This is FURTHEST from the truth. Time to clear it up ⬇️
1) who am I to talk 😹 2) I’ve worked with SO many bodies that nothing phases me and 3) I have their best interest in bettering their HEALTH. I really could care less about bodies, I just simply help people out when they want to transform theirs 🤷🏻♀️
So why am I telling you this?
Because, you may be able to relate 🧐
If you are on either one side of the spectrum of being:
1) A new gym go’er and NOT where you aesthetically want to be.
2) Are an avid gym go’er who is happy with your physique.
It is important to never judge because you don’t know peoples’ stories or thought patterns... Unless you actually can prove they’re a total dick wade 😂
For example, god forbid a slender person shames an over weight person. Therefore, an over weight person shall not shame a slender person. It’s vicious and we all should be rooting for each other. AMURICA 🇺🇸.
SO, THERE! Perceptions are wonky and lame.
CHALLENGE ➡️ Next time you go to the gym, genuinely seek out a person and tell them how much you admire something about them. For me, I admire work ethic. When I see someone BUSTING it at the gym day in day out, best bet I tell them.
Now rise, speak up, and don’t let something you like in someone be kept unsaid. Make their day! ❤️🙌🏼 yay for health! 🥂😂

The truth is self discovery isn’t this comfortable, miraculous thing. It can get ugly, it can get confusing. It’s gritty, it’s hard. It’s difficult to confront yourself sometimes, it’s difficult to be the person who does things differently, who doesn’t settle. But it’s the greatest gift you will ever give yourself. It will push you towards finding out what your own personal happiness looks like; and when you grow on your own terms, when you figure out what actually matters to you, you live life on your own terms. You love on your own terms. You become the person you always wanted to be, rather than the person you were always told to be... and that is beautiful. Because when it comes down to it - life is about making yourself proud on your own terms. It’s about finding a happiness that works for you ✨🌝🖤
