When you look back you will see why things happened as they did, for nothing happens without reason on the journey of life.
As I post this #10yearchallenge picture, I can’t help but appreciate ALL the things that happened between the pic on the left and the pic on the right. So many struggles and challenges that led to an improved mindset to turn those challenges into victories.
2009 saw me at one of my worst. I got hit with sepsis, caused by an incomplete miscarriage. My family was told I had 10% chance of surviving; and even if I did survive, that I’d be brain dead and unable to have children anymore. Or so they thought.
Then in 2019, after 10 years of working w/ kids w/ autism, giving birth and raising 2 little men, getting married and divorced, going through more struggles than I can count, continuing to better myself through higher education, and continuing to better myself as an individual, here I am with a genuine smile.
So many lessons were learned the hard way, but I’m so grateful for them all because they’ve led me to where I am now: happy, confident, strong (physically and mentally), full of love for myself and others, and a go-getter. That pic on the right shows all those.

Yes 💖😊💕 Good evening my beautiful sisters!💖💞👑💕 I hope that you all are doing well and that you are enjoying your day!😊💕👸 Let's remember to help keep ourselves well by not skipping breakfast my sisters 💞🍳💖 Eating breakfast helps us to have more energy so that we can stay more active throughout the day 💖🍽💞 As we continue to educate ourselves, let's remember to help educate each other 🙏💕 #wellnesswednesday
When I first got started with my nutrition, I was only looking to "survive" nursing almost continuously. But then I realized there was more to it than that. If I was willing to let go of my insecurities and embrace bold, I could give my girls an abundant life full of freedom. Freedom to discover and cultivate their passions. Freedom to pursue adventure. Freedom knowing mommy can be at all the activities!
It's still a work in progress. Letting go of nearly a lifetime of being told (and agreeing) that I can't do the thing is HARD. For these gorgeous amazing girls, it is worth it. That is why I won't stop sharing my fantastic nutrition. Why I will ALWAYS happily cheer you on with your own goals and do everything I can to help you get there!! If you've been watching from the sidelines and are ready for a change, my inbox is forever open.
IRL, I have a stress headache, I’m working late, and my cute cat is purring next to me. I see you, universe. I feel you. And I’m glad to be a part of you. Just feeling grateful for this life. Cheers to living a kick ass life whatever that means for you. 🤗
⧊ LETTING GO ⧊
Everything I’ve ever let go of has claw marks.
This message really hit me. It stopped me in my tracks. It got me thinking, is this me? I like to pride myself on being able to let go of things easily. After all, I’m a Sagittarius always looking towards a better and brighter future.
Some things I have let go of in a snap. Clothes. Shoes. (Some) books. Makeup. Gluten. Pork(yes, bacon)! Toxic chemicals. Processed foods. Even friendships. I’ve let my best friend go without a second thought. Ok, maybe a thought or two, but the process of letting her go was...easy. We were done. Our time together had been served. I’ve let go of dreams and wishes and intentions, but letting go of dreams is challenging and heartbreaking.
Over the past weekend, while I was away at a business retreat, someone asked me what my greatest fear is, and I realize now that in one simple statement it is this ...”letting go and coming to terms with shattered dreams.”
With this realization - this little aha lightbulb moment - I’ve decided to do my best in practicing the art of letting go, and accepting with open arms what is. Because what is may just be something much more beautiful than what my limited perspective could ever project.
#wellnesswednesday! We're half way through the week! .
I wanted to discuss water 💦 today, because the old age "8 cups a day," needs to be changed, as most adults, especially pregnant women, need more. .
*️⃣Did you know that fluid loss of just 1% of your body weight is the definition of dehydration?!? The sensation of thirst is stimulated at this level of dehydration, which means if we followed the principal "drink when thirsty," we'd already be depleted. .
It's difficult to give a general population recommendation, since water requirements vary based on both body and environmental temperature, activity level, age, sweat rate, and many other factors. .
The recognized Adequate Intake of water by the WHO and the Food and Nutrition Board for women age 19+ is 2.7 liters per day (~11.5 cups or 91 fl oz); for men is 3.7 liters per day (~15.5 cups or 125 fl oz). .
About 80% of Americans polled reported that they don't meet their water goals. .
Tip1️⃣: bring a water bottle with you everywhere!! Find a size you love, I have a 32 oz @hydroflask that is my favorite! I try and drink one filled bottle before noon and one after. .
Tip 2️⃣: if you don't like plain water, try some low/no calorie additives, like fresh fruit, @nuunhydration (which also provides electrolytes), or water flavorings like Crystal Light, or my personal favorite Crush Orange!! 😋 @pedialyte is also one that is often forgotten. It's not just for kids; it's a great low sugar, electrolyte replacement. #water#rdapproved#drinkyourwater
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing one of your girls rocking her best self!!
Thank you for trusting me, the system, the company and the amazing industry that’s network marketing beautiful Madalina.
Madalina has started to share the gift of health with her family and friends and is now earning a second income with our generous company!
So excited for you gf! Let’s do this!🙌🔥
These two know the importance of rest, their napping and sunbathing skills are impressive.
My rest skills need a bit of work. I’ve been a little MIA the past few days after a full weekend, some added stresses, and crappy sleep. Survival mode had started to kick in a bit and that makes me quiet around these parts.
So tonight, I took a hot shower to wind down, and I’m going to bed early. My body and my mind are telling me to rest, and in order to keep myself healthy I need to not ignore that.
Whats your best tip to wind down?
That NingXia-stache is pretty amazing. I’m honestly not sure if she got more in her mouth or on her lip 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Also, while I was sleeping off Ignite this weekend (seriously, y’all...so many naps), Young Living was being sneaky and adding these beauties to the starter kit 😱 I had to wait a year to try Valor and Peace & Calming, and now y’all just get it in your starter kit.
Valor is basically bravery in a bottle. I use it to feel more grounded, it’s awesome in massages, it my even help some people with snoring (not that I do that...). Peace & Calming is also delightful, and what I’m going to start diffusing anytime we have play dates. I take Thieves Hand Purifier with me pretty much everywhere, especially when I know porta-potties are my only option 🤢 And the best part? The price of the kit only went up $5. FIVE. I’ve had coffees that cost more than that.
Twelve oils, a diffuser, samples, an incredible education group, and a 24% discount, all for $165. Unreal. Grab your kit from me and let’s go!

In a world that glorifies busyness, be a rebel. Find stillness. Here are 5 ways to be a rebel. 😉
1. Take one long, deep, centering breath.
2. Leave your phone behind and commit to being fully present.
3. Meditate. The other day during a meditation, the phrase “make space, allow grace” came to me. 😍 Make space for new ideas!
4. Take a fresh air/sunshine break. Put your feet on the earth if possible.
5. Journal. Get your thoughts out of your head and onto the page.
Committing to daily stillness will bring you more peace. And who doesn’t want more ☮️ in their life?!?
RINSE & REBEET
Yummy, yummy, yummy! I was surprised at how delicious this one was (as you can see from my previous post, I am not a fan of beet juice!) With the addition of grapefruit and ginger, it cut that earthy taste of beets and I really loved this flavour combo! 💜💛💚💙

Check out my stories for all the details about the magical roller this combination creates! 🦄🦄
Lunch today was the new Keto Bowl from @tocayaorganica made with Spanish-style cauli rice, sautéed peppers & brussels sprouts, avocado, and salsa (I added chicken breast)🍴I don’t follow the Keto diet, but I’ve been increasing my fat intake lately by eating more fish, nuts, and avocado. I def notice a change in my appetite since I’ve been way more satisfied after meals, less inclined to snack (nothing again snacking, I’m just fuller throughout the day), and I’m honestly feeling leaner. Healthy, mono-saturated fats are essential to a well-rounded diet and definitely help to stay satisfied all day 💪 #WellnessWednesday
Resting can be hard to do, when you think you’re solely responsible to take care of all of your needs and success.
Medical school had me tripping (I was tripping hard) ...I knew resting was vitally important to perform at my very best however, resting was and is considered a luxury... I would see people either load up on caffeine, or the fear of failure would keep them awake.
Caffeine was not an option🙅🏽♀️because, I didn’t need anything more to add to my racing heart! It had gotten so bad that I would think a negative thought or simply turn-over in my sleep and felt as if my HR would go from 60-170BPM. In other words my heart rate would go from “0-100 real quick!” (Drake’s voice)
Anxiety attacked me and it kept me up! Boy-oh-boy did my body pay! I felt as if I was solely responsible for my success. I began to notice that my time with God was very limited and the time I did spend reading His word and praying was out of fear. I knew God hadn’t let me down in the past so why was medical school any different? .
I did not fully trust God. I did not know how to fully rest in Him! -and trust his plan for my life. .
God promised us sweet sleep. Proverbs 3:24 I constantly wondered If God promised us sweet sleep why am I up during odd hours of the night? 🧐-again I needed to TRUST and STAND on Gods promise to not fear nor waiver. If God said it, I believe it!
Through it all, I learned that feeding my spirit and resting in God’s finished works is VITAL. Hebrews 4
Worrying was sending me to an early grave. But, Gods word brought me back! I had to learn (still learning) to RELAX, look past circumstance, and focus on Christ love for me . Hebrews 13:5-6 AMP version is 🔥
It’s just that simple fear not only BELIEVE - Mark 5:36. Today if anxiety tries to wake me up out of my sleep it’ll get shut down by me saying, scriptures like Philippians 4:19: My God will supply all of my needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus.
I’ll continue to rest and wake up feeling refreshed, knowing that as I work towards goals and my purpose God has me, he won’t let me down , I cannot fail! .
"Without health, life is not life; it is only a state of languor and suffering."
- Francois Rabelais
The University of Adelaide study found that the world's wealthiest countries have much higher rates of cancer than much poorer countries.
Looking at cancer rates over four to five generations, comparative anatomy and human evolution expert Professor Maciej Henneberg and PhD student Wenpeng You, analysed global cancer data from the World Health Organisation from 173 countries in people aged up to 49 (which is considered to be within the reproductive lifespan). Although treatments have improved, cancer rates have not and worldwide, cancer is now the second leading cause of death after cardiovascular disease. The researchers found that some cancers had quadrupled in the past 100 years and, across the board, incidence was higher in the top 10 countries; countries with low mortality (and fertility) rates, access to quality healthcare and socioeconomic status.
In fact, in the "top 10" testicular cancer was 14 times more common, lung cancer 12 times more common, melanoma was 10 times more common and brain, breast and pancreatic cancers at least three times more common.
These countries included Iceland, Singapore, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Cyprus and Andorra, while the "bottom 10" countries included Burkina Faso, Chad, Central African Republic, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Burundi and Cameroon.

Are we killing ourselves with "convenience"? What are your thoughts?

Self-compassion is necessary to create a strong and loving relationship with ourselves. It’s easy to be hard and critical when we make mistakes or don’t meet our own expectations. Being our own inner coach is a healthy way to encourage ourselves, and we can do it with kindness.
Sometimes, it’s hard to see all the good things that others see in us. Taking time to recognize our own strengths and qualities is good acknowledgment for ourselves. Imagine not recognizing a friend or coworker when they’ve done something positive – we do that to ourselves all the time! This pattern can be changed.
Some tips: 👉When we see a strength in someone, tell them about it, they may not see it themselves. In return, they may mention a strength in us that we may not have been aware of.
👉Strengths go beyond personality traits and something we see. Strengths can be thought-processes. The next time you practice an effective mental strategy during tough times, acknowledge yourself for the mental stamina!
👉When receiving a compliment, accept the compliment as one of your strengths! Too often we may compare with others to see who is better, but multiple people can share the same strengths all the same.
Developing a gentle and loving language of talking to ourselves will create an unconditional supportive bond, so that when things get tough, we are there for ourselves no matter what.

HORSESHIT. Matcha has 137x more catechins than green tea. You can find this claim all over the internet. But it's physically impossible. You see, matcha leaves are shaded in order to stimulate production of more of the amino acids that give matcha its sought-after umami flavor. Amino acids can only be converted into catechins during photosynthesis, which requires lots of sunlight. So the shaded matcha leaves in fact have less catechins than traditional green tea!
We have been diffusing citrus oils non-stop since Christmas to counteract the ‘Winter Blues’ that tend to affect our family this time of the year. Tangerine oil can be used topically or aromatically to help promote feelings of happiness. Topically, when you need some extra sunshine in your life, apply Tangerine oil topically to flex points or the abdomen. You can dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil or the carrier oil of your choice to avoid skin sensitivity. #wellnesswednesday
