I finally was able to get an Okinawa veteran helmet to pay tribute to my grandfather who fought there. This is a ww2 M1 helmet with Westinghouse liner named to a Corporal Kenneth Searcy who was in Headquarters and Service Company, 15th Marine artillery regiment, 6th Marine Division listed as Communications personnel. He trained as a Radioman and arrived as a replacement on Okinawa near the end of April and likely was a part of The Battle for Naha and supported other offensives. After the war, he went to the Occupation of China till discharged in 1947 as a Staff Sergeant. The helmet has a sloppy Marine repaint and shows wear seen on other Okinawa helmets.
This is her life ❤️❤️❤️ So a lot of y’all want to know more about life in the Army .
For some reason people think that being apart of LGBT is not okay in the Army. FALSE. Here’s my wife and I both SSG’s with successful careers our relationship doesn’t affect our work environment at all.
Having a family isn’t possible. False. Here’s mine and we’re happy and healthy and run just like any other family.
You don’t get paid enough and work all the time. False, this is my family in Vegas when I took two weeks off and was still getting paid. We live a very cushioned lifestyle. We work 9-5 just like you do.
All you do in the Army is shoot stuff.
I’m a radiology technologist for the Army and she’s a supply SGT. Both recruiters for three years. Both are support jobs.
The bottom line is the Army we were during World War II, is not what we are now. We have evolved and it’s possible to have your cake and eat it to. Give me a call and let’s see if you don’t completely change your mind about the Army. We’re more than what the war movies make us out to be! What do you have to lose?
*HELP!* I try to keep things “business oriented” here so I apologize for getting a bit personal, but we need your help! My husband is a member of the US Coast Guard, a branch of the the United States Military who is NOT being paid during this shutdown. There is a bill currently in Congress, the “Pay the Coast Guard Act” that is currently being sat on (& no one will give a straight answer as to WHY). Please, PLEASE, if you could take a moment to email your Senator and ask them to support this bill and to push for its approval (The President is already on board, it just needs to make it to his desk!)! On the 1st we will have gone two pay periods without pay (my husband is the main source of income in our house - my little business can’t hold us over). No matter what side of the isle you’re on, I know we all agree that refusing to pay 42,000 members of our military while still forcing them to work, is WRONG!
A U.S. Army soldier scans the drop zone during Saber Junction 18 in Germany, Sept. 20, 2018. During the exercise, U.S. Air Force aircrafts provided support for personnel and equipment drops for the 173rd Airborne Brigade. The exercise builds on the brigade’s ability to provide ready forces across the full spectrum of military operations with or without partnered and allied nations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Shells! Maybe someone on here can identify what the two large shells are. The huge artillery case was found by my father in law, walking around what was once a local munitions plant. The Navy marked one was given to me years ago and I assume it was used on a smaller gun on a ship, but really I have no idea. Other stuff is there just to illustrate the size.

The biggest question is why does the U.S have 800 military bases around the world.
Needless to keep all these bases open without any reason ?
And it's us American taxpayers that are financially supporting this we have all decided that it's worth it pump a hundred billion dollars out of our economy to keep these bases open on the far corners of our clothes.
