A Margarita a day, keeps the doctor away!
Wish that was true... 😬
Because being ill on the road sucks big time... I’ve been suffering with a rather strange eye infection the last week. It took 4 visits to the doctor to find out what it is, but finally I got the right treatment! (Hope so 🤞🏽) 🙏 so thankful for good travel insurance!!
Even looking as a freak, I’ve been enjoying this amazing city. Mexico City has so much to offer! And I discovered the best Margaritas I’ve ever tasted on this Market! And it’s also great place to buy all your gifts and souvenirs 🎁
And for the next week: I’ll wear my sunglasses at night, day, always and everywhere 😎

Traveling ? “You do not need travel insurance for every trip.
There are cases where insurance is not necessary.
In these cases, buying insurance is a waste of money.
Remember, the decision to buy travel insurance comes down to 2 major factors, and understanding this will help you decide if you need it.
The 2 factors to help you decide if you need it are:
Financial Risk: Are you worried about losing money because of a canceled trip, interrupted trip, lost bags, delayed trip, or medical emergency?
Before leaving on our 6 month [very much outdoor] global adventure, Dylan and I bought a travel insurance plan with @worldnomads. We hoped we wouldn’t have reason to use it & that it would be there “just in case.”
It definitely came in handy during our 3 weeks in Nepal! Don’t worry, we are totally fine, but we are so grateful to have a travel insurance policy!
Head to my stories to learn more about why it’s super important for any big trip, especially if you hike or explore the outdoors as much as we do! ✈️

After witnessing the aftermath of an oil spill in California in 1969, Senator Gaylord Nelson doubled down on his commitment to raising environmental awareness.
Drawing inspiration from the energetic anti-war movement of the time, he enlisted support from both sides of the political spectrum, and on April 22, 1970, Earth Day was born.
Imagine having these glorious tiger eyes staring back at you... 🐯
'Protect Our Species' is the theme of this year's #EarthDay . 🌎 It's focused on bringing awareness to endangered species around the world, like this spectacular tiger in India! We know the world is a big and beautiful place to explore, but it's the creatures that roam free that make it extra special. ❤️ #covermore#keeptravelling#travelfacts

Taking cliff jumping international.
I want to take a moment to talk about travel insurance. I’ve never used travel insurance before. First I didn’t really know it was a thing, then after an Australian guy in my hostel in Amsterdam said we were idiots for not having insurance I looked into it. I still didn’t get it for the next 4 countries I visited cause I wanted to save money. Not a smart idea, don’t do that. Now that I have two trips that I HAVE TO get travel insurance for I’m seeing how much it actually covers that any regular medical insurance doesn’t. (Missed and delayed flights, baggage issues, trip cancellations, more extreme things you can get hurt doing such as cliff jumping and mountain climbing)
I could have gotten hurt doing a lot of the things I did in my first year of traveling (and I did get hurt in Spain but just dealt with it until I got home which made it worse) and I would have been out a lot more money than if I just got the insurance. So travel tip, don’t skip on the travel insurance! Two reputable and good providers are CSA Travel (for Americans) and World Nomads.

When we think of our holidays, we imagine sitting next to the swimming pool or lazing around on the beach. But waiting in the emergency room or being stuck in the hotel with an ill children is definitely not one of them. That’s why it is so easy to forget to prepare ourselves for any illnesses while travelling. There is a new post on our blog which is all about staying healthy while travelling with kids. It includes a free printable “Our Travel Kit Checklist” It also includes a story about how we thought we had to cancel our trip to Mallorca and how we wouldn’t lost £3000 if we did have to cancel.
