I shared this in my stories yesterday and the amount of comments I got.."you eat pizza?"
ummm...yes, I eat pizza:)
When I can find it like this-gluten-free and vegan I always have it like this. If I can't find it in a healthy version, I take it as is.
But here's the thing.
I only have it every once in awhile. And when I have it, it's usually the ONLY source of gluten and dairy that I've had in weeks. Because I don't eat wheat or dairy every day. Or every week. So when I eat a pizza like this, it's ok.
Also, because I've worked really hard to rebalance my digestive system and my hormones (6 years and counting) so that when I DO eat something not so healthy (but oh-so yummy), my body can handle it.
Wheat and dairy are just 2 of the main food sources of chronic illness in the body.
Eating them regularly, the way most people do--for breakfast (cereal with milk; or a cheese sandwich) for lunch (pasta; or bread with your meal) and maybe more cheese or cream or yoghurt later creates what's called "inflammation" in the body and this leads to fatigue; joint pain; allergies; rashes; diabetes; high blood pressure; migraines; sinus problems; insomnia; mood swings; PMS; and so much more.
Luckily, our bodies are really resilient. Once you start to remove these foods, the body starts to rebalance and symptoms start to improve and disappear.
