And with it, that insidious, but pretty real, pressure for us to look stunning and... wear something new to do so. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How weird is it that some of the most expensive pieces in our wardrobes have such a short perceived lifespan? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We spoke to a lot of you and, however far or early on your sustainability journey, weddings always came back as a pain point. We kept on hearing the same thing: yes I want to be more mindful, buy less or better, but I can’t possibly wear the same thing twice at a wedding! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is deeply ingrained in our brains. We feel this pressure too, and that’s why we looked into this more closely. Luckily, solutions do exist for us to look amazing, and guilt-free, on our friend’s special day! Here are a few: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👛 Invest in outstanding accessories you can rewear. You can dress up a simple outfit with a colourful pair of high heels, or a sleek clutch. Unlike a dress or a jumpsuit, it’s easier to reuse accessories over and over again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👯♀️ Borrow from your friends. You can create a group with your BFFs, post a couple of wedding outfits each, and let the sharing magic happen. And If your friends are not your size, or your style, there are other options like @thenuwardrobe in the UK. They allow you to borrow outfits from any girl in the nu community! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👗 Rent an outfit for the day. We love this one because it allows you to go crazy with something totally different if you feel like it. If you’re in France you can use @lescachotieres , @chicbychoiceworld in the UK and @renttherunway in the US. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💚 Shop a pre-loved outfit. If you have time to thrift, charity shops and consignment boutiques are full of hidden gems, including hardly ever worn wedding outfits. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👑 Simply rewear your wedding outfits and be proud of it! And for the sustainable fashion queens among us, you can even make a statement out of it. If the #30wear challenge is good enough for @emmawatson and @liviafirth on the red carpet, why not for us?

I'm still amazed how many amazing women reached out to me after my episode with Jenna Kutcher on the Goal Digger podcast dropped (I don't know why I'm surprised - Jenna's amazing so of course her community is too!).
So many of you reached out just to say "hi," or to tell me you thought the episode was super helpful (yay!) But a good number of you also had burning biz money questions, which of course gets me all fired up inside! So I decided to answer some of these questions here for you.
One question I heard from many of you is "how do I be more profitable in my business?" GIRL, listen up. I'm literally dancing as I type my answer.
Here's why I LOVE this question. Because I believe the #1 way to be more profitable in your business is to KNOW YOUR NUMBERS (and that's right up my alley). Your numbers are an incredibly helpful data point in your business.
They can tell you which products/services are likely to grow, which ones bring you in the most profit, and which ones are just not worth your time. Your numbers will tell you where you're spending too much money or where you're not recouping all of the money you are owed. Your numbers will tell you when you need to charge more and how much. Your numbers will tell you WHAT to focus on and HOW to grow so that you can make more money doing what you love.
Knowing your numbers starts with having a good accounting system to track your numbers and a process in place to regularly check in.
