Florida has been having some crazy ass weather the last couple of weeks ⛈ Which means those of you who usually are on West Orange Trail have been rained out! If you need an alternative and would like to avoid being struck by lightening 🙃 come workout with me at the @radixfit bootcamp tomorrow at 6pm and Saturday at 9am! All abilities welcome, see you there 🖤
So we have just under two weeks left of our APEX June Challenge and our guys are absolutely smashing it!
Here in APEX we decided to run a little challenge to get 25 workouts in the month of June done and dusted.
Half of our team decided they'd like to give it a go and they've been NAILING their training, so much so that it's put a real rocket up the coaches arses to keep up!
It has been studied that approaching a change to your lifestyle by way of *adding* things rather than taking away leads to a more positive mindset and you're more likely to last the course.
So rather than thinking about "I'm not allowed to eat that" or "I've got to take this away and that away" we believe here at APEX that the focus should be on what can we ADD.
We are all about that positive mindset life.
Not only that but it's created a real buzz in the gym and even a bit of friendly competition :P
Our rules for this were very individual to the client.
For some of our guys it came from upping their training in APEX, some guys started going for walks on their lunch break instead of being tied to their desk, some of our guys have gotten back into stuff they've not done for ages like swimming or bouldering, some of our guys hit up the inflatable obstacle course as part of their workouts and some of our guys have been committing to a daily mobility routine to help their recovery between sessions..... There were no hard and fast rules with this, the aim was solely to increase your movement in a positive way.
What's been really cool is watching people support each other and the banter that's come from having this team challenge. And it's been really cool to see people start introducing small habits like a daily walk, a daily mobility routine, a ten minute home workout or just hitting up their training that bit harder and just enjoying the process.
Two weeks left to get them in guys, let's get on it ;P 💪

AGACHAMENTO SUMÔ - movimento dos joelhos
👉🏼 repost @rafaelsoncin

Never thrown sandbags before so fun to be training a new event - these are only 9kg each . The actual Cerberus bags are £100 each but hoping these sand filled kettlebells from Amazon at £20 will do the trick 🤷♀️ Thankful for good neighbours who no longer find me weird measuring 4 meters up on a lamp post and throwing stuff outside the drive 😂
