A mother’s instinct is no joke. In fact, we have many midwives and doctor friends who talk about how seriously they take a mother’s intuition in their work and there have been many studies around this subject. You may find you wake up just before your baby wakes up for a feed, or you check on baby just as they are waking up. All of these things happen because somehow we are all so wonderfully tuned in to our babies and can react accordingly. WE GOT RID OF OUR TV. 📺
that’s it. what started as a 30 day experiment to gain clarity is now a new norm in our home. y’all i can’t shout loudly enough the gift that not having a tv has had on my mind, soul, body, and spirit.
i have known for a long time that i am an incredibly sensitive soul. what i didn’t know was that when you watch tv your mind goes into a hypnotic state. your brain does not differentiate that what’s happening on the screen isn’t reality. makes a lot of sense when i think about how i had nightmares about being a handmaid for close to six months after watching the handmaids tale. my husband would even remark that he could tell when i had watched something upsetting on tv because my whole demeanor changed.
i was literally inviting fear, procrastination, and mindlessness into my home and my body every time i turned on the tv.
here’s what happened when we slid that puppy into our closet…
🌿we ate meals at our table instead of the couch. we went on walks around our neighborhood afterwards.
. 🌿we went to sleep earlier and we’ve gotten around 2 more hours of sleep every night.
. 🌿we wake up earlier and refreshed to have quiet time in the morning.
. 🌿our home stays so much cleaner.
. 🌿the amount of things we get done is literally mind-blowing.
. 🌿the mindless snacking literally stopped and we’ve even noticed we are more mindful about what we put into our body.
. 🌿i have a lot more clarity and insight into what’s going on inside of my body. the fear still comes, but i have a much easier time connecting back to truth, peace, and love.

My workouts at home are far from perfect!! ✴️
I'm usually joined by one or more of the kids & as you can see Roxy loves to take up residence on my yoga mat!
But it doesn't have to be perfect to work!! I'm seeing amazing results from my at home workouts despite the little challenges of the gym being my living room! I clear my head, get a bit stronger each day & am setting a great example for the kids at the same time!
Our next 3 week Bootcamp, Better not Perfect, starts on the 26th & we still have 4️⃣ open spots left!!
We're going to lean in & hold each other accountable to getting a good workout in four days a week, sharing recipes & tricks for getting through the chaos of life with a smile and straight up loving ourselves for who we are, NOT what we THINK perfect might be!!
We all know there's no such thing as perfect - so don't wait for the "right" time cause....
#truthbomb - life is crazy busy & that perfect time might never come!! ✌️

Life is a process and so isn’t growth. Those goals that you want to achieve may take some time. That body that you’re working on will take some time. That opportunity that you’re waiting on may take more waiting. Don’t give up or lose hope in the process. These things don’t happen overnight. Take every opportunity, “No”, “we’re looking for something else”, failure or frustration as a learning experience and way of getting better in your craft/talent/job. We learn something from EVERY experience.
