Do you know that Water makes up 92-97% of global Beer 🍻 brands?
Water is an essential ingredient in beer therefore an increase in treatment cost = an increase in the price of beer 🍻. Pollution of water resources affects water treatment cost thereby increasing cost of production.
To have a sustainable Friday night, make it a habit to dispose of waste (solid, liquid and gaseous) properly to prevent contamination of nearby water systems.
What's the byproduct of your favorite beer 🍻 and how do you release it into the environment? 👉 Don't drink and drive 🚗 ❌🚔
👉 Patronize bars with appropriate urinal facilities 🚽
Let's have a great weekend ✊💧🌾
Health workers at Kashishi Health Centre, Geita, inspect a raised water tank under construction.
Once finished, this will provide the facility with a supply of clean water. Expecting mothers will no longer have to bring their own buckets of water to the centre. Project funded by @gacanada.amcanada.#water#wash#sdg6#globalgoals#healthcare#hygiene

This old woman’s vertebral column was damaged due to lifting heavy mud pots for water transportation purposes in Tharparkar. She has to live with this deformed back for life.
See how miserable her life has been because of this. Help us by donating so that we can provide more H2O wheels to these women and many others like her.
Our CEO Mr. Bilal Bin Saqib explaining the pitiable pain this woman and many others like her suffer from, in Thar region.
This video is from our team’s recent visit to Tharparkar for H2O wheels distribution. 50% people in Pakistan lack access to safe drinking water. Travelling for collecting and transporting water takes up to 4 hours a day. Moreover, the consequences include extreme time consumption, spinal cord pain, damage and injuries and wastage of water during the transport process as a result of carrying mud-pots on heads and not being able to balance them.
H2O Wheel is a simple and effective product that will help transport safe water. It saves time and alleviates the physical strains that the underprivileged people experience as a result of water collection.
Help Tayaba.org to transform the lives of water deprived communities in Pakistan.
#ElAguaEsOro💧
On World Social Justice Day, we must continue the dialogue on solutions that allow us to comply with access to water and sanitation. Access to this liquid element has become an indicator of inequality. In some areas in Cochabamba, the cost for vulnerable populations increases by 64% per liter.💧 #SocialJustice

As #globalsurveysdg Ambassador, @lebackpacker represents #SDG6 “ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all”. Globally, millions of people still lack access to drinking water and sanitation facilities. How do you limit your daily water usage? Do you have any ideas of how to improve? . Here are some ways that you can incorporate SDG6 into your daily routine: 💧Take showers that last less than five mins. 💧Repair leaks in your home that lead to unnecessary water waste. 💧Volunteer or support organizations who work on water and sanitation projects globally, such as @water@charitywater and @un_water#water#sustainability#sustainableliving#17throughoureyes
Decide to vote for a good future for you and your loved ones. We cannot have the great future we desire without access to #cleanWater, #decentToilets and good sanitation.
As it stands, nearly 60 million Nigerians do not have access to clean water and another 120 million do not have a decent toilet. We must change the statistics!
Exercise your franchise. Go out and Vote!

Access to water and sanitation is a precondition to life and a declared human right. In order to accelerate efforts towards meeting water-related challenges, the United Nations General Assembly declared 2018-2028 as the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”. The objectives of the Decade focus on the sustainable development and integrated management of water resources for the achievement of social, economic and environmental objectives and on the implementation and promotion of related programmes and projects.
Help energize the implementation of existing work by sharing stories and information through your social networks. Spreading knowledge and evidence will help us and others to raise awareness of progress and to hold elected representatives to account.

What change do you want to see? 🌎
A cause that is close to my heart is ... you guessed it ... protecting our world’s waters: oceans, rivers, lakes.
Today the UN is 73 years old! #UNday . .
1 in 9 people don’t have access too water. 💦
By 2050 at least 1 in 4 is likely to live in a country affected by chronic or recurring shortages of fresh water.
We take water for granted but it’s the highest concern of the next decade according to the UN.
The UN Sustainable Development Goal 6 #sdg6 aims to ensure access to water and sanitation for all. 💦
(This was me at the UN two years ago when my passion and awareness for water issues started. 🌍) .
Why do you support water issues too?

#DidYouKnow that 2.5 billion people worldwide lack a clean and safe toilet? 🚽
In India, AKDN has been supporting communities across 6 states to construct toilets to improve health, safety and the quality of life, especially for women.
Nagal Behen Cholas recently constructed a toilet and washing area, which she shares with her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Nagal Behen and her family decided to construct a toilet for themselves after learning about the importance of safe sanitation and its benefits in community meetings organised by AKDN.
As of August 2017, AKDN has supported 711 households in 20 villages to build their own toilets.
Can you imagine living without? I can’t. Yet, 40% of the global population is affected by water scarcity and this number is projected to rise. Did you know that more than 80% of wastewater resulting from human activities is discharged into rivers or sea WITHOUT any pollution removal?! There’s room for improvement though. Clean, accessible water for all is an essential part of the world we want to live in and there is sufficient fresh water on the planet to achieve this. What do we want the world to look like in 2030? #17ThroughOurEyes
