The body contains SO much information and knowledge— the trick is to SLOW DOWN and LISTEN! Most of us are constantly going and doing that we don’t recognize what we need until something starts to break down. With mindful awareness, we can check in what what’s happening in the mind & body and meet those needs as best we can. Taking care of the mind & body isn’t always about treating “a problem,” but it is also about PREVENTION!
For those who have experienced trauma, it does not always feel safe to tune into the body and notice what your experience is. THIS IS JUST FINE. With guided practice, you can begin to dip into your present experience and then return to a part of the body, breath, or external anchor that feels safe and comforting. Overtime, the capacity to stay with your experience expands, as does your ability to regulate your nervous system!
Carpal tunnel syndrome is the one of the most common peripheral nerve entrapment diagnoses often seen in physical therapy clinics.The involved nerve is the median nerve which can radiate symptoms down the arm into the first three digits of the hand. These symptoms are caused by limited excursion of the nerve due to compression or inflammation.
Nerve glides (or nerve flossing) are exercises that work to restore mobilization of our nerves. By carefully stretching the nerve and moving it through the surrounding sheath, we can reduce the tension on the nerve, improve its mobility, and reduce symptoms. In a study by Abed-Magied et. Al (2016), patients given median nerve glides as a form of treatment saw significant improvement in pain, sensation, paresthesia, tingling, and objective test outomes. Likewise, these patients saw an improvement in the grade of their carpal tunnel syndrome compared to patients who received standard care.

I want to bring up a topic that we are not fully conscious in our daily basis: hearing loss.
Hearing loss is a partial or totally inability to hear. It may be caused by genetics, aging, exposure to noise, infections, birth complications, trauma to the ear, and certain medications or toxins and of obviously it's caused by our irresponsibility to take care of our own ears.
We take for granted our ability to hear and we don't usually make a little effort to do some research about this degradation of our hearing. Well try to remember that once the damage it's done to your hearing, you lose it forever.
I prefer to give a very simple advice instead of tips and hacks, or whatever kind of advertising: prevention saves you from the solution.
Try to avoid long periods of time exposed to loud noises, keep an eye on your daily routine and look for bad habits related the to volume of your devices, stop thinking that wearing earplugs in concerts or loud environments is weird or a joke, pay attention to newborn babies (they are very sensitive to loud noises) and basically get informed about the possible damages, be conscious about it, take it seriously, spread the word, take care of others around you and lastly go to a professional if you think you have some kind of hearing loss.

It usually comes down to an accumulation... of good patterns or bad patterns. You don’t just wake up and there’s suddenly a foot of snow on the ground. It happens slow and steady, one flake at a time. Same thing with movement patterns... good or bad. A little bit every day can either build you up or break you down. Your movement is your responsibility. Break the patterns that are breaking you by retraining your whole body how to move and support itself again.

I have an apparent fear of running out of Thieves 🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️ The immune support powerhouse 🙌🏼
I roll Thieves on my feet every night to help keep my immune system strong (it's important to keep above the wellness line, so don't just wait until you feel sick to use it!). In busy weeks, when I travel or when I’m around crowds, I do the same in the morning as well. And if I do feel a bug coming on, I also add Oregano to the Thieves ritual and diffuse Thieves before bed/at night or add a drop to hot water + lemon. Sometimes I can be SO CERTAIN I am coming down with something, then do all this voodoo 🤣 and wake up the next morning feeling great!
