Baby Clay 3 update
So it has been pretty quiet on the adoption front and we apologize for that. Things have been crazy for us and honestly I think that has been a blessing in disguise. Since August 2015 we have had all of our approvals and have just been waiting to be matched. When we started this phase the expected wait time was 18-24 months. As those markers approached and passed it went from excitement to sadness and now as we approach 36 months it can be hard to maintain the positivity. In the big picture we know its God's plan and it's in His perfect timing but at times our human emotions get the best of us and negativity creeps in. We know our call is coming and we look forward to nothing more!
Sadly these delays have meant updating all of our documents multiple times and each time just adds to the financial requirements but God has always been good and provided and we know this time will be no different.
Yesterday marked the 4 year anniversary of us submitting our full application to start the adoption process. To celebrate and focus on Baby Clay 3 we made Pancit Bihon to look forward to the day we set foot in the Philippines and get to meet Baby Clay 3 face to face. Until that day we will just keep them in our hearts and prayers.
Thank you all for your constant support and prayers. You all help us get through the hard days and we look forward to celebrating the big day with each of you!
My grandmother’s 40-year-old store at the Kalibo Public Market!
So much history behind this little native goods shop. Can you imagine what its store front (and cute crooked signage) has seen and been through over the last 40 years?
This shop along with 10 others sell brown, woven goods galore and they all scream “the simple life.” And I’m not mad about it.
