Had a real #humansofjapan moment. This gent of a man sat beside us in #osakacastle . He chatted with us and was very kind. He then proceeds to show us the folded parrot, samurai helmet and the crane. And then insisted on teaching us how to fold a butterfly. It’s his hobby since he retired. Takashi Saito was his name; written inside the folded shirt. #japan#osaka#origami#travel#etc
My dad lived in Japan for two years as a little kid when my grandpa was in the military. My sister and I sent photos of us at Osaka Castle to him today and it gave him a flashback to having gone there on a field trip with our grandma back in 1969. My heart felt so many things hearing that, as I got to experience something my 11 year old father and young grandma had, and now I have made my own memories in this place. This is why travel is so important to me. It is natural to us, beyond the circumstances that may hinder people or force them to move. We are born curious, moving, ever changing. We create families and we just want to share with them the beauty in this world. So this is a thanks to my dad and my grandparents for their sacrifices to get out of circumstances that would not have allowed us to travel, and for giving me the momentum to move and change and help others do the same. And that’s why I started The TwentySomething Traveler! I just want to teach and inspire others to travel ❤️ 📷: @kitten_mai
#weroad#japan#osaka#nara#todaiji#buddha#osakacastle#samurai#museum
I have received more DM’s about tips and recommendations than ever before🙏🏼🎌. Also, a lot of questions about having the kids with on a trip to Japan. Slowly, but steady, I am updating my digital diary (link in bio) with all the places we went, where we stayed, experienced, shopped and ate🛌🛒🎏🎎⛩🍱. Did a little tip about road trip as well💁🏻♀️🚐. #japan#osakacastle#roadtrip#heebunediaries#travelwithkids

Thinking of Osaka we certainly think of the grandeur of the castle, but perhaps even more so the beer festival that we found a little by chance in its vicinity. We intended to make a brief stop and then move on to see another part of the city. By changing the plans, we got to know a part of Japan that we had not yet met, that partying, the one where there are no barriers and where people make friends by talking and sharing a beer. The Japanese is willing to help but it is difficult for him to open up and talk about himself with a stranger. On this occasion we had the opportunity to deepen and get to know various people and various aspects of their culture. Do you like to make friends with the people of the places you visit?

Konnichiwa from Osaka, Japan! 🇯🇵 Finally got the chance to visit the stunning Osaka Castle. What a sight it is! First constructed in 1583, the Castle was built atop a tall stone foundation, consisting of five stories on the outside and eight stories on the inside, surrounded by two mighty moats. Can you imagine if such wonderfully intricate structures were still created inside of our cities? If only in the 21st century, aesthetic was still valued as much as function ✨

Japanese Castles are amazing😍
Osaka Castle (大坂城 ) is a Japanese castle in Chūō-ku, Osaka. The castle is so unique and beautiful it is considered one of Japan's most popular castle and has to be one of your stops when visiting Japan.
