The Mandarinfish or Mandarin Dragonet (Synchiropus splendidus) is in my opinion the most beautiful of all fish 💛
Mandarinfishs common name comes from their extremely vibrant colouration and these fiah are one of only two vertebrate species known to have blue colouring cellular pigment.
They reach a size up to 5 (female) and 8cm (male) and feed on small crustaceans, worms, gastropods and fish eggs.
Here on Malapascua we are able to see these fish nearly every day at sunset where they come out to mate. During that process they perform a dance rising over the reef for a mere second and then release their eggs.
Beautiful to watch 💛
Unfortunately on this dive I had the most annoying and embarrassing experience a photographer can have - running out of battery.
This is my only mating shot I could get after figuring out the correct settings. I'm quite happy with the result but I'll give it another try soon!
Beautiful view of Cape Town🌔⛰️🏟️
I went on a small cruise to observe the underwater wildlife🦈🐳🦄💦!!!
We saw two dolphins slightly above the ocean - as stealthy as I did not even have time to bring back an image!📸🤩
