Another amazing night last night at Urban Gym. It’s a real pleasure getting to share what we love with so many people.
Urban Box continues to prove a hit....no pun intended! 🥊🤷♂️ It’s safe to say it was another great sweat with everyone killing their combos....and sprawls! 😉
This crescent was installed for @candyambie Candace and Ryan’s wedding in @ballilogue house last weekend. Our beautiful Canadian couple decided Ireland was going to be their wedding destination, they come from a built up area in Calgary in Canada so the lush green surroundings of ballilogue in #newross was just perfect for them, they said. I have to agree, it is a fantastic wedding venue, Candace had 25 guests which was so intimate but Mark the event manager of the venue said they can cater for up to 80 guests and you have the choice of indoor or outdoor ceremony and dinner service can be served outside under a sun sail which is beautiful, imagine decorating the poles with flower garlands, just dreamy or if the weather is bad it is served in the beautiful dairy room.. The crescent was made using many different types of sweet smelling eucalyptus, olive, and other foliage’s with Pompeii roses, wax flower, lush green lotus heads, the request for all the decor was natural and subdued so we didn’t add on any bright colours. I’ll miss our many emails and WhatsApp texts with Candace but I loved every minute of it. #darlingbudslouise#balliloguewedding#wexford#kilkennywedding#inistogue#therower#newross#intimatewedding#intimatevenue#intimateweddingvenue#crescent#flowerinstallations#freshflowers#luxury#luxuryflowers#luxuryflowersdesign

A few years back I left a well paid management role because I wasn’t enjoying it. I wanted to be a fit, happy, healthy dad rather than an unfit, unhappy, wealthy dad. While at the time it was a tough decision, it’s probably the best decision I’ve ever made. Marina was 3 months pregnant with our first child Nathan and I was in what I thought was to be my “forever job.” Looking from the outside in I had it all, recently married, child on the way, secure, well paid job. Bottom line however, I wasn’t happy and those closest to me could see it.
If you want to be happy then it’s so important to go after what you enjoy doing! If you don’t want your manager’s job then what are you doing it for? And, more importantly, if you don’t enjoy it, what are you doing it for? I used to say to staff, “we spend more time in work than we do with our families, so it’s so important to somewhat enjoy doing what you do.” As individuals we are all unique and blessed with our own talents. I’m fortunate enough to meet so many amazing individuals in the gym every day, each person bringing their own talent and uniqueness to our facility. It makes the facility more than just four walls. It’s a thriving environment with positive, energetic vibes where we enjoy each other’s company and seeing one another grow.

This is a perfect grilling steak for the BBQ! Rib Eyes are perfect if you like your steak rare/medium rare because they are a naturally more tender cut. #ribeye#bbq#bbqsteak#peasantspantry#newross

President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier were married in this Church on September 12th, 1953. It is called St. Mary’s and is in Newport, Rhode Island. The present structure begun in August 7th 1848 and was consecrated on August 15th 1884. St. Mary’s was designated a National Historic Shrine on November 24th, 1968. I visited while in Newport in July because it was the first place on my list to see in Newport. Being from Ireland, I grew up listening and reading about the Kennedy’s in America and Patrick Kennedy the great grand father of John F. Kennedy who emigrated from Ireland. Patrick Kennedy was born in 1823 in a small cottage in Dunganstown, County Wexford, Ireland. #newportrhodeisland#stmarysnewport#presidentjohnfkennedy#jacquelineleebouvier#dunganstown#newross#wexford#ireland

(4 of 4) My last shot of the night at the Ross Farm Museum.
Now I had a vision to see the MW rising up vertically from the pathways leading towards the barn. That wasn’t going to happen because that pesky moon was rising before it would line up. Also for this night because turns out it got nice and cloudy later on.
Since it wasn’t going to line up I went to plan B and shot this with my 35mm (instead of the 14mm planned) so that the Milky Way would show up larger in the sky. And I positioned myself so that Jupiter is just about to touch the tree.
It was a peaceful end to a lovely night and by this point the kitty was rolling on my feet 😂😂
Again, a big thank you to the Ross Farm Museum for letting me roam their property and take photos at night. These are the things that make my creative soul sing, and I’m grateful for the supportive community that is here in NS.
Interested to hear- which image is your favourite?!?
