Happy Birthday to the G.O.A.T 🥊
Did you know that Muhammad Ali lived in Chicago?
During his years exiled from the boxing ring, the dethroned heavyweight champion found refuge on the South Side of Chicago.
After his boxing title was taken away from him, Ali immersed himself in his new found religion. He lived in Chicago for almost a decade. By the time he left Chicago for good in the late 1970s, he had bought a 28-room mansion in Kenwood, two blocks from Nation of Islam leader, Elijah Muhammad. While living here, the people on the South Side of Chicago were drawn to him. He had the ability to be larger than life and completely down to earth simultaneously.
We can go on and on about Muhammad Ali and his very interesting life, but we'll keep it short and sweet. In our eyes, he's the Greatest Of All Time. That's why we took an iconic Chicago picture of him and added the skyline and a 4-finger ring displaying just that.

Happy birthday, legend.

Louisville Airport will be renamed after Muhammad Ali in honour of his legacy. The Mayor cited the fact that his name was more recognisable than that of the city. May Allah bless our brother Muhammad Ali and make him of the people of Paradise. He left a legacy of goodness behind him.

It’s the G.O.A.T.s bday, the greatest inside and outside of the ring.
When I think of Ali it triggers many thoughts.
I remember I first heard about it him around 6ish and Mum was watching a doco on him, and they were at the part where he threw his gold medal in the Mississippi, and my mum explained that at the time black people weren’t allowed in some restaurants etc, so he threw it in in protest. I remember thinking at the time that if anyone treated my family that way because we were black I would defend them viscously. But along with my Dad teaching me the same things, it opened my eyes to standing up for yourself and what you believe in, to not lot people take advantage of you because of their judgements, and to be strong and defend yourself and those you love. My dad being a pro boxer himself would also tell me to stick up for people in need, don’t be a bully but stand against bullies and oppressors, even if you stand alone stand up for what you know is right, the same way Ali stood against his oppressors which led to him being banned to fight at the prime of his career, and refusing to go to Vietnam etc. to say I was obsessed with Ali was an understatement. Growing up when I was put in compromising situations I would ask myself, what would Dad / Ali do if he was in my shoes. It’s weird how you could have never met someone yet they’re like family to you huh... I’d say it’s played a large part in the work I’m engaged with, because the seed was planted many years ago.
Muhammad Ali. A presence that continues to remind me of all that is possible. His eloquence snd compassion combined with his gifts continue to inspire me daily. A great man, a wonderful caring father and an infinite spirit. #muhammadali#spiritualwarrior

"Impossible" is just a word used by weak men to live easily in the world they were given, without daring to explore the power they have to change it. "Impossible" is not a fact, it is an opinion. "Impossible is not a declaration, it is a challenge. "Impossible" is potential. "Impossible" is Temporary, "Impossible" is nothing.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. - B. Franklin HAPPY BORN DAY TO THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME 🎂🎂🎂💪🏼💪🏼👊🏼👊🏼 RepostBy @kaepernick7: "Happy Birthday to The People’s Champ! #MuhammadAli"
First thing this morning! My daughter Sydney had a special spiritual connection with my father from the time she was a baby. When he passed at the hospital, I hadn’t told my kids yet. But, I got a call from the house telling me that my baby suddenly went down the hall and hugged his painting. I know he is hugging and kissing her back always!🙏🏾🦋🐝 #muhammadali Painting by @brentestabrook
