Another horror movie to come from Netflix, but this one I actually kind of liked. It's like that documentary Hot Girls Wanted mixed with a supernatural thriller. It's a mix between the fear that comes from working in that kind of industry while also having something sinister going on.
The story follows a cam girl who's trying really hard to be the #1 streamer on her site. When she reaches the top 50 she finds that her account has been hacked, but when her account goes live she sees that it's her that's streaming. Her doppelganger starts doing crazier and crazier things until it begins messing with the life of her and her family. The movie has some pretty tense scenes and was a pretty good mystery for the first half of the film. The acting was all really good, the main actress was totally believable and did great. The cinematography and set design was also really well done. I thought that a few parts were a little dumb or didnt make much sense, I dont think the character reacted enough to the fact that someone absolutely identical to her stole her life, and a few subplots were borderline meaningless and took up a lot of time. This is also a pretty risqué movie and deals with some pretty adult themes that might not be suitable for everyone. Despite these things tho, the main plot is fun, interesting, and mysterious, I'd recommend it if you seem interested.
Final grade: B+
Working in water is the slowest, hardest most exhausting film making you can imagine. Often we use tanks, which are shallow so we can stand. These tanks are sometimes next to the sea so they seem like they are part of the sea. Or we put a green screen behind the tank and transpose an image of the sea, both methods work. If we are shooting ships, we make them in minature and shoot them in slow motion so the waves and the ships seem larger in the tank.
