I haven’t mentioned it in a while, but I still love to start my day with copying a few lines of scripture and writing in my gratitude journal. This month I’m writing through Ephesians. while I’ve enjoyed the other topical scripture writing themes, I love copying whole books. There is such an interesting perspective shift when you are copying out the lines and thinking about Paul choosing those words instead of the typical perspective of being a reader/receiver of them. Who else starts their day with scripture? And what sort of method of study do you use?
I am not a morning person.
I’ve been trying to get up “early” and take some time to be productive before my day starts. Nature has been rewarding me with beautiful sunrises. Pretty bubblegum pastels and bright neon oranges.
Are you a morning person? What sort of routines do you put in place that help you get your day started off on the right foot? How do you plan for a successful day health wise or keto wise?
My number one rule is DON'T PRESS SNOOZE! Saying "nope" to the day right off the bat isn't going to do you any favors. I always wake up early enough to take my time and have my coffee, even if that means getting up crazy early. I always make myself drink a big glass of water before having that first cup of coffee. My first 40 minutes or so are all about other people - making lunches, feeding pets, making sure my boyfriend & kiddo are ready for their day - so then I make sure to take at least a half an hour of me time. And I fast in the mornings until at least 10:30 but usually 12.
New morning, new mercies.
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”

Rise and shine everyone!!! Does anyone have a favorite coffee mug? I have several. This is the most recent favorite. This was given to me for my birthday from a BFF. We have always called each other squirrel and are huge squirrel fans 🐿 (Yes, we are a little ‘nuts’that way!). It’s important to enjoy the little things/the simple things in life. I can’t think of anything else I’d rather be doing than enjoying my morning coffee, with my favorite cup of the day, and reflecting on what I am most grateful for. Cheers to favorite coffee (or tea) cups, and enjoying the simple but happy moments! What’s your favorite cup and simple moments?? #coffee#coffeecups#favoritecoffeecup#mornings#mindset#empowerment#fun#itsthelittlethings
What would you do if your 2yo wakes up twice at night and you can’t go back to sleep? Last night I ended up spending about three hours analyzing myself and all the changes my family and I have been thru the last two months; that somehow I’m almost half way thru my pregnancy with Baby #2, and that we may be moving houses (not set in stone yet, and we are staying local if you are wondering 😌). I also kept going back to “what makes me ME” - those thoughts were deep... I’ll share my conclusions here soon 😉 So... what do you usually do or think about when you can’t go back to sleep?? 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
