Talking to your spouse about money may not be one of the most enjoyable aspects of life, but is a must-do if you want a more peaceful relationship. Marriage can be hard enough as it is, having a financial burden only fuels already brewing fires. Not talking about the dollars and cents, can lead to unwarranted arguments, busted budgets, and no real plan for the future. Please note, I am not saying it should encompass your entire existence, BUT let’s be clear a ton of marriages end in “D” because of $$$ issues. “According to a study by Jeffery Dew at Utah State University, couples that fought about money more than once a week were 30 percent more likely to get divorced, which is why you need to learn to talk to your partner calmly about your shared financial future.”
Well these 2 folks right here, are all in! At this point, we honestly have had some of the most thought provoking discussions regarding our goals and future. This morning, I mentioned to the Hubs that I decided to listen to an audiobook while traveling to work and would you believe , not only did he listen to the book...he is already done. I am only on Chapter 5 but a sista is about to catch up.
Once again, we all gotta do what works for our family and our individual households. I strongly suggest that you engage your significant other in those tough conversations now, versus being assed out in the future.
This is what mid week should look like for everyone. Date night and the baby sleeping overnight at the in-laws...and it’s the week before spring break from work....and my birthday is this weekend.....and just because it’s Wednesday....
🔥💍Click the link in my bio to read my full blog post in response to Dr. Phil and his quote saying, "100 out of 100 relationships that involve caregiving fail." •••••••• “The way I see it, Jeremy and I are both caregivers to each other. We take care of each other, have patience and understanding. We have compassion for what we are going through individually and as a couple. We are attentive to each others needs and come to one another with caring and tenderness. We trust each other and are dependent on one another because that is what makes our marriage strong, happy and successful. When I took my vows, I knew that I would be a caregiver to his heart and soul as much as I would be to his body if need be. Caregiver is not a dirty word that will doom your relationship... It is a beautiful commitment. It is a chance to have a deeper understanding and connection with your partner. It is an perfect way to apply agape love- to love like Christ, selflessly, sacrificially and unconditionally - into your marriage.” •••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #100outof100#drphil#wrong#chronicmigraine#migraine#pcos#marriage#marriagegoals#relationshipgoals#caregiver#caregiversupport#love#commitment#allfiredup#ilovemyhusband#vows#insicknessandhealth#support#encourage#empower#educate
