Getting a massage 💆, especially when pregnant, feels SO nice. I had a massage last night and it was so nice to be able to lay on my stomach (with a special pregnancy pillow around my belly).
It was nice to have some ME time and really relax.
Every mama needs some ME time to help rejuvenate after always taking care of others. When you take care of yourself you are better able to take care of your family.
So, if getting a massage is something that you LOVE then GO GET ONE. And if you are pregnant find a place that does prenatal massages. It is SO WORTH IT!!
What things do you like to do for self care?

Soaking up the not so frigid weather before the snow comes!
We miiiiight be trapped inside this house for the next two days but I know we’re gonna have lots of snugs, lots of movies and lots of wine.
What do you like doing on snow days with your littles!? Ready? Go!

Turkish Coffee | I have fond memories of drinking this when my babies were babies visiting with my friends who grew up in Israel. The dad would make it for me. It felt exotic and provided a civilized break from the stress of parenting two small babies. I got a lesson on how to prepare a cup, then it was about about the ritual for me So many people received an Ibrik (the coffee pot) and Arabaca (Turkish coffee) as a gift that year. I picked up some coffee when I was at Samiramis Imports this week, the love-affair continues. I am adding videos of the process to my stories. .
Here is the how-to: .
✨Add a cup of water and a spoonful of sugar for the Ibrik
✨Bring to a boil slowly
✨Remove from heat
✨Add a tea or tablespoon of Arabaca grounds
✨Return to the heat
✨The grounds will bubble/froth up to the lip of the pot
✨Remove from heat while still frothing, pour in cup ✨Rest for a few minutes to allow the grounds to settle to the bottom of the cup
Traditionally the coffee is never served with milk.I like this way but I also add steamed almond milk when the mood strikes.
It is also about sharing a cup of coffee with a friend. During the dark winter, invite a friend over to share a cup. Cheers.
Today a regular customer told me I look "As pretty as ever."
I was flattered, of course, but I thought to myself, does he know I know he's lying?
Does he know the story behind the bags under my eyes, the redness within them?
Does he know about the restless nights of feeding and fussing and teething?
Or about the fort I built in the living room so I could escape from the fussing, at least, if not everything else?
Does he know I'm picking up extra hours now because I may be getting my hours cut later?
Does he know I volunteered to help open the grill tomorrow, my one day off a week, because I feel responsible?
And does he know how much that responsibility is weighing me down?
Or maybe he genuinely thought I looked pretty with a visor topping my red hair and a quirky, forced (perhaps even delirious) smile for every person I spoke to.
Whatever the case, I said thank you, went about my job...
And now am contemplating just how long of a nap the little man will let me have before the fussing starts once more and I lose even more of that "pretty" he called me to the monster called Awake.

Come join us Beautiful Mamas!
Virtual Mama Circle~
Simply Self-Love will be our theme.
1.31.19 ✨ 12pm PDT - 9pm GMT - 8am ACT
My dear sister Janie and I will be hosting our second virtual Mama Circle- Simply Self-Love!
A place for conscious Mamas to reconnect to themselves and their sensuality!
A great way to feel deeper connection to yourself and other mamas as we go through each day.
Janie and I are both Mamas, who met in sacred sisterhood a couple of years ago where we shared six profound weeks of ceremony studying mystical dance, tantra, sacred sexuality and so much more! We knew one day we would create together and share our love with other sisters together.
Janie and I are both certified coaches with a multitude of passions, skills and tools that we share with so much love ❤️ We really wish to create a safe space for Mamas to talk about anything and everything, and especially how to reconnect to our body's wisdom, pleasure, as well as, how to raise open-hearted, sexually/body positive, confident and empowered children through every action. Everything that we do and create in life comes from this very sacred act that we wish to embrace.
Janie is the founder of Tantra Mama @tantramama.
Lauryn is the creatrice of Arise Alchemy @arisealchemy.
Come check us out & say hello!
We would love to hear from you!
For more information, direct message us or drop 💃 a sassy lady below if you would like to join us!
Much love and many blessings,
Janie & Lauryn

It’s often the quiet evening moments, in the dark hours of the clock, that we mothers unleash our creativity.
Over dinner with a friend, she and I joked about our husbands going to bed about 9 o’clock. And how we will continue to project and putter and live in a quiet moments that we can grasp each night regardless of the time in which we know our children will inevitably wake up. We laughed together because we both felt that those hours are when we were still most honestly our old selves. Those hours are when we catch glimpses of ourselves pre-babies, pre-laundry, pre-dishes, pre-taking out the trash, pre-the responsibilities and weights that come with motherhood. And although we love those weights, and we don’t mind the responsibility, we cherish those moments of alone time with ourselves and our thoughts...
Transform 20: Day 5, Cut. I was expecting Cut to be super fast and hard cardio...nope. Control Under Tension, yeah, it was as painful as it sounds!! 😂😳😖

I became aware the other day that I’ve posted a few things on Instagram lately about how I spend my Mama Time, and it crossed my mind that maybe people thought “Wow, she gets a lot of time off” or “Blimey I wish I could spare the occasional hour to myself!” So whilst on a walk by myself this morning, it got me thinking, about what Mama Time means to me, and why I feel it is so important.
*NEW POST* on the blog...check out the link in bio!
Loving my new do! Thanks to @mrsrosieh for the recommendation of George Davis; it was the perfect treat and about time that there was about a bit of self care happening here!
Already booked in for my next appointment and this is definitely the start of me having some time to myself.

I find myself digging deep into this with myself and others.
Not everyone you surround yourself with has to have the same goal.
Not everyone you surround yourself with is on the same path!
But one thing, yeah I know... I keep repeating....surround yourself with people who celebrate you. Not the ones who tolerate you.
The ones who celebrate YOU deciding to do and be you!
All the rest is noise.
Noise that personally I don’t want and is totally not my jam!
It’s time we all celebrate the gifts, the differences and the dreams.
Surround yourself with people who lift you up, love on you and laugh with you!
Release the rest. It may be hard to do at first but once you do...watch the SHIFT! And enjoy it!
Think being fit is easy for me??? NOPE!! I have the same struggles that a lot of you have!! I’m short on time. LOVE all the food.
I have a husband, the kids, a full time job, the house and a business to take care of. But taking care of ME makes all of that other stuff easier to handle. I’ve said it a million times...it’s my SANITY!! .
Yesterday was tough. I allowed the intensity of the workout to get to me and instead of being in control, I let it run the rest of my day! I just couldn’t shake it. Maybe it was the moon, maybe it was hormones... 🤷🏼♀️ who knows! But I let it happen. .
So today my focus was on controlling the workout and not letting the workout control me! It’s amazing how much better you feel when your mind is in a good place! 😉

Let’s get you set up to rock your own transformation!!

Danes nadaljujem poseg : trajno lasersko odstranjevanje dlak. Link do spletne strani v storiyu. Pa lep ❄️☃️ petek vam želim!

Today’s featured mama, Wilhelmina @shareabode shares on the blog today the last time she had me-time in saying “My son just turned 4 and my daughter 2 and they go to daycare three times a week and I have total me-time where I do an hour cardio and boxing in the morning, I get a massage once a month and because they sleep through most nights I can stay up a bit later and watch a movie or read a book, physically alone, which is so under-rated!” 📷@everlast
I almost put myself on the back burner today. I realized my original hair appointment was booked on a day kole and I would be in Arizona, and when I went to change the date there were no days available that I would have my hubby to watch the kids. The thought of three kids under the age of 5 in a small room for a three hour hair appointment was enough to make me want to crawl Into the fetal position so I certainly wasn’t about to try and tackle that one. If this would have happened last year I would have canceled my appointment and spent the next 6 weeks feeling less than confident with a head full of gray hairs. Luckily for me, my family has gained some financial freedom over the last year and instead I was able to take my two older kids to a drop in kids camp while I took one well behaved little guy and sat for three hours to get toted on and beautified. This would have been something we could have never afforded to do before ON TOP of the cost of getting my hair done, but today I didn’t stress about the extra money. Maybe this is a small example of financial freedom for you, but for me it was just another reminder of how much our lives have been blessed by my job. Today my income allowed me to splurge on some well deserved self care and I’m once again so incredibly thankful that I took a chance and stepped outside the box for this opportunity. .
This year I have transitioned into a new stage in my life from working to BAM, being a stay at home mama. 🙏🏼I have worked very hard for years as a single mom, hustling to be able to enjoy this time off. I am very grateful that I get to put my family first & enjoy this pregnancy. At first I was like OMG wth do I do with myself? 😳 Then I realized it’s all about setting up a routines of cleaning, cooking, making time for myself & getting OUT of the house to socialize with other women. #planning#mamatime#stayathomemom#pregnant#healthylife
A couple weeks ago I had lunch with my sweet friend @mrs_horton, we had gotten on the topic of our nails and I realized I had gotten a manicure ONCE since I was pregnant with my two year old. Something I used to love doing for myself, but hadn’t made a priority since his arrival. Well, today she treated me to a mani 💅🏼 and I forgot just how much a little pampering can help make me feel a little more like Shelby and a little less like mama. Thanks for the reminder, dear friend.
Mamas, don’t forget about yourselves. You deserve a treat. ❤️
Today we spend two minutes with Wilhelmina Ford @Share Abode mama to Dustin, aged 4 years and Monique, aged 2 years. Wilhelmina shares her favourite ways to practice self care and advice for other mamas struggling to make time for themselves on the blog today. Link in bio. Thanks so much Wilhelmina for your time. ❤️

I filmed a little of our weekend away in the Cotswolds last weekend and it’s up on my channel. The link is in my bio 💗
If you are not following these gals already I would highly recommend it. They are bloody wonderful! ✨
This ray of sunshine started weekly drop off play group today and I am not okay 😭 It’s hitting me extra hard today that they don’t stay little and dammit I’m a mess!
I literally can’t imagine how much of a mess I’d be if I had to leave him for 8 hours+ several days a week 💔 just dropping him off at a play group for a couple hours once a week has me almost in tears! I’m so thankful that for every day of the week I get to be there for this sweet little boy without sacrificing a paycheck!
I’m so blessed to be this boy’s mama, and I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up! Kudos to all the working parents out there who do this daycare thing because two hours is killing me 😫 Can y’all drop some ways for a mama to handle this without wanting to break down in tears?? I’m literally not okay right now.
Yesterday was a hard day. You know what got me through? Yoga and friendship. Today is a new day and I was kind to myself. Although it was sunny and a great day for a run, my body felt sore and needing some rest. So I walked around the botanical garden instead. Breathing in sweet smells, catching glimpses of lovely natural things and being present. And you know what I found? A yellow brick road! Right there in the botanical garden! The symbol from one of Owen’s favorite books. For me the story of Wizard of Oz is about friendship and how we can achieve great things by accepting each other’s strengths and limitations. If you haven’t read it you should. I figured out right where I was supposed to be today, I wish the same for you.
Day 4 - Powerful!! The soreness is starting to creep up on me...like it’s oozing from the inside out 🧟♀️!! 😂😅😳
Spent my Saturday morning getting some much needed pampering from my girl @facebytraci_formspa! She helped this tired mama look and feel refreshed!!! If you are in Utah you absolutely need to head to @form_spa! Head to my stories to see my results ❤️
I’m thinking of doing some influencer marketing with Mother Nature. Here’s how it will go… I‘ll send her a snowflake mug, she’ll send us some snow and we will both post about it!😂❄️ #isitwinteryet#bottomsup#mamaneedsasnowday
