After researching suggestions for an extension cord reel, my pick ended up being one by Iron Forge Cable. I considered the cord length so I can easily power equipment outside of the garage, heavier gauge, and price. The selling point on this particular one ended up being the ability and ease to take the reel off the mount if needed. •
I’m silly excited to have greatly reduced my chances of a face plant. And, before you get your boxers in a bunch about me using a barstool to install this upgrade, just know that my coordination on a barstool is far better than on any ladder. 💁🏻♀️

Texture, texture, texture, is there anything better?
I’ve been enjoying working with different stitches and learning new cables. Don’t worry I’m still releasing the pattern for my beanie I’ve been teasing the last few days, but for now I’m taking a short break on it and working on some other things.
Putting the last touches on our pinball machines! I love how each Maker has made this project their own and found their own solution for the ball launcher and flippers! The whole project started when one eager student came into Maker club on the first day and claimed that she wanted to make a pinball machine this year! Soon everyone wanted to make one too. Next we watched videos of pinball machines to learn more about them and how they work. The grade 4s we’re learning about kinetic and potential energy so this was a great link when thinking about the launcher! We got the wood bases at the dollar store, they are upside down wood panels for painting. We put out springs, dowels, popsicle sticks, foam, and other loose parts and let the students problem solve on their own! I will definitely do this again and recommend to anyone!!
Did you know that each of my signs are hand cut, hand sanded and hand painted by me? A lot of work goes into each sign and I love it. I love being able to see a project from start to finish. Most nights I’m covered in sawdust and have paint on my hands. I am so appreciative of the support I continue to receive. 🙋♀️💕
If you have questions about my process, please let me know-I’d love to help! .
#Repost from @grainyard_woodworks, "To me, planing down rough-sawn lumber is like opening Christmas gifts. Peeling back the #wrappingpaper of sun and water exposure, dust, dirt, and splinters to reveal beautiful color and figure underneath! I could do this all day! Shout out to @mo2hmakerspace for their awesome 20" helical head planer making quick work of these slabs 👌"
My new (old) yarn storage cabinet is filling up! ❤️ I just need to fix the doors, but it’s the perfect piece to store and display some of my favorite yarns! What do you think?? 😊
