In most species, the ovaries are composed of an outer cortex and inner medulla (except in the mare where the cortical region is interior to the medulla). The cortex is composed of ovarian follicles(developing oocytes with their associated follicular cells), interstitial gland cells and stromal elements. Ovarian follicles are in different stages of development (least mature to most mature): primordial, primary, secondary, secondary-vesicular and mature.
1. The function of the ovary is to secrete:
ova and female hormones
female hormones only
2. The cortex of the ovary is composed of :
the medulla and the hilus
loose areolar connective tissue, blood vessels, nerves and lymphatics
ovarian follicles, interstitial cells and stromal elements
3. These types of follicles may arise at any stage in the development of follicles and represent a dead or degenerating follicle:
vesicular follicle atretic follicle luteal follicle.

Q. A 44 year old woman 👱🏻♀️ presented with increasing oral papillomatosis, predominantly on the lips 👄 and less pronounced on the tongue 👅 and buccal mucosa. The lips showed filiform papillomas in a symmetrical distribution. The tongue was thickened and furrowed.
A biopsy was performed, and histologic analysis revealed 🔬🔍 hyperkeratosis, increased dermal pigmentation, and a dermal lymphohistiocytic infiltrate. .
No epidermal inclusion bodies were seen, and polymerase-chain-reaction analysis of the specimen did not detect any human papillomavirus DNA. ❌
The patient had received the diagnosis of advanced gastric adenocarcinoma 1 year earlier and had been treated with surgery and palliative radiochemotherapy. Three months before the diagnosis of gastric adenocarcinoma was established, she had noticed a generalized darkening of the skin and small, velvety plaques on her neck.
What is your diagnosis? ✍🏻

I love taking pictures like these.
They represent life. Do you know what's at the end of the road? Nope.
Do you know what's gonna pop whilst you're walking in the road? Nope.
Not all roads are a straight path, some may curve others may go up and down, and you don't know where it would take you. You expect to reach a certain place, and arrive else where.
No matter what situation in, everyone has the same destination that is to achieve a specific goal they have set up for themselves. For me, it's not to be a doctor. Truth be told, I never WANTED to become a doctor. I never walked around with a stethoscope like all my other friends. I want success, and respect in whatever I'm doing. Success doesn't only mean wealth. It can be with regards to health, having a group of people who love you and could make time for you. I have chosen the path of medicine for now, but who knows where life may lead to, just like this road. I just don't know where exactly I'd be, but I do know what I want.
So guys, it's easy to talk motivational shit, I know. But I've been through the struggle as well. These time will pass. It's just a matter of being honest with yourself, perseverance, determination and hard work. Can't put it any other way.
