It felt SO GOOD to be back. You know how some places dig into your soul? And they just become part of who you are? Well that is London for me. I studied abroad here and it completely changed my life. And I promise I’m not trying to be cliche. Studying abroad taught me so much about myself and the world around me. I got out of my US bubble and learned how to become more of a global citizen. And I know, all I did was go from one western country to another, but this experience still completely broaden my worldview. And it taught me how much more there is to see and explore in the world. This experience helped me realize I didn’t want a picket fence life (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with that). But I learned that I wanted to invest my time and money in travel instead of things. And after coming back to the states I started living my life that way.
And just 2 weeks ago I finally got back to London for the first time since I studied abroad. It had been over 5 years since I was back in my absolute favorite city. And it felt pretty damn good.
Sorry for the long post 😬 but if you made it this far thank you 😘
Is there a place that became part of your soul? I want to hear about why it is special to you!
We can literally feel the glow radiating from this gorgeous photo of the sun setting behind the Bethnal Green gasometers. Regent's Canal is a very popular detour before or after a visit to Broadway Market! #BroadwayMarketE8#WhereWeLive⠀
