In our RL 1.5 (fiction vs nonfiction) Print a Standard pack, we wanted to make sure to include a variety of non fiction texts. 📚 In this activity, students read a fiction piece called The Lemonade Stand and a nonfiction piece that is a recipe for lemonade. 🍋 If you are studying the differences between fiction and nonfiction, this Print a Standard would be a great fit for you! 👌🏻
15/100: this warm up is so good! First of all, it had some pretty funky rhythms which makes it fun, and second, it teaches you the minors. Now tbh I did have a little hard time with the naturals but it gets easier. So quite almost all of you wanted to see my #practice space so I’m excited to show you tommarow!! I just need to organize it a bit 😂 if you want the whole page of this exercise/warm up dm me! Ill be glad to send it too you. Also, I have some problems with playing in 6/8. Anyone got tips for that?

Today I was the student again. I’ve always wanted to learn how to snowboard and almost went in high school but tore my ACL and MCL before I could even get the chance. Years and years I always hesitated, being nervous my knee wouldn’t handle it, but today I did for the first time. Took a few hard falls on my ass and head and ripped open my pants but all in all I’m looking forward to trying to learn more. Any tips or advice is always welcome, I’m all ears
I have thinking about this and I realized that I need to do more things that are outside of my comfort zone
I am reaching out to all of you, I would love for you to share your ideas with me
What are some ways to step outside of your comfort zone? What do you recommend?
How do you build confidence as a newbie in medicine? The first few months of practice are incredibly overwhelming — the pace, complexity, the a surreal amount of new information (let’s be real, school barely scrapes the surface…). If you’re in a clinic like mine, you have leaps and bounds of autonomy — which can result in feeling isolated from your colleagues and mentors. I’m learning something new with every patient encounter and I still have my moments of “oh shit 😳” and feelings of “uh, 🤷🏼♀️ no idea what to do right now”… but after three months of practice, I’m also starting to acknowledge my successes. Starting to build up that confidence that we all lack so much straight out of school. I’m recognizing (and appreciating to the max) the subtle acts and words of affirmation popping up around me. Sometimes it’s in the form of a letter back from a specialist, thanking me for referring a patient as it was 100% an appropriate move. Sometimes it’s a question I’ve asked my collaborating physician, and his answer is verbatim 🙌🏼 what I just said to the patient five minutes ago 🤸🏼♂️. It’s lab results that come back exactly as I was guessing they would based on physical exam and history. And the best of all? It’s patients requesting for me to be their new primary care provider. Stating they loved their visit, they felt heard, understood. 🥰 I think as anyone new in any field, it’s invaluable to allow the moments of success and affirmation to shine through the overwhelm and grit. It’s what will heighten our expertise and competence in the long-run, and while it takes patience, reflection, and insight, it’s the yin to the yang in balancing this challenging career. ✨⚖️👩🏼⚕️ #nursepractitioner#growth#learning#humility#insight
How are you doing as a creative spirit? 💫⭐️
I’ve been going through old archives of photography and while there are some old work that I’m truly happy with, I also see shots that at the time made me frustrated and unhappy along the way. But revisiting these attempts again makes me realize what these failures have taught me, I can see my own process and I’m very grateful for the struggles that made me work harder. I find the creative process much more enjoyable than reaching a goal and it’s never about comparison or success, it’s that quiet inner conversation you have when youre completely absorbed in your work/art. Creativity can should make you both happy and miserable sometimes to push you forward, it’s two sides of the same coin. both necessary for growth like with everything else in life -⭐️
Whatever the goals and purposes are for creative work, I believe that the most valuable is in finding you’re own true voice and expression. To have that inner conversation with yourself that keeps you going on, exploring and evolving. - -
Before I picked up the camera myself, I worked as an Art Director for magazines and that’s when I learned how important creative confidence is for creatives. Seeing how those with a strong sense of their own personal creative path set them apart as talents.
But how to crack this today especially when we spend so much time comparing ourselves to others on social media? I think I have some answers to that, and I’m going to share them with you later.
We are working on finalizing a workshop in Berlin in March especially for creative foodies and I’m would love to hear your thoughts creativity, originality and confidence ❤️

66 DAYS SOBER AND SMOKE-FREE #🔥💚🌿💚🔥 I'm enjoying myself so much in other ways on a vacation like Im never used too 🙏 Last night I wanted to have fun when nobody else wanted to go out so I got anxiety. Going alone to a bar or club to have fun when I wanted to is a great feeling I used to have. Now what? Should i go to a club alone and not drink? 😂 I'm not at a resort and even if I'm comfortable in any country its not smart to test things out is what I learned last night. Now if I was drinking lol that me would have been out and not caring or thinking about things in all lights. Feeling very thankful 💚 MY FIRST CHEF LIFE WHILE HERE 🌿 Pickled peppers with guava and valentina hot sauce, a beet guacamole, a cajun black bean paste with Dominican coffee, Cajun, cumin, garlic, fresh organic lettuce, avocado slices 🤘 #vegano#dominican#vacation#thankful#blessed#learning#new chapter #sober#newme#avocado#sndwich#montreal#toronto#veganuary#plantbased#veganchef#bestofvegan#govegan#veganlife

Hey yalllll 🤗 Today was fun fun fun! I watched an online lecture and got a good amount of studying done! Then I went to #mccafe@mcdonaldsnl to get a lovely caramel macchiato ☕️. -
If you’re struggling with staying motivated to get work done, plan some nice activities to do in between your study sessions! Having a reward for getting your stuff done and getting out of your study environment in general can be very refreshing & give you the right amount of motivation to study when you’re not going out 🥰 #studytip
What’s something you do that keeps you motivated?

my next exam is this Wednesday and I’m really anxious about it ahh! I’m going to study for a few more hours (reading, cramming, watching online lectures) and revise & do past exams tomorrow! What are your plans for this evening?
