【Seasonal Traditional Dance "Yokagura"】
Local people perform Yokagura in Autumn season to appreciate having the good harvest this year and pray for the successful of next year harvest.
Dancers are selected by local people and passing down generation to generation for a long time until today.
Moreover, their dance numbers are related to Kojiki Story which is the oldest Japanese literature.
Learning history and traditions is like studying the way of living in the present day as well.
Rina from Takachiho Town
Over 2 months in Japan and this is still my favorite day!
Bailey and I had only been in Japan for a day, and nearly the entire time was spent on various different trains and taxis. We were tired and ready to just find somewhere to relax. Instead our family had a whole day of walking in Aomori planned.. The day of exploring was far more fun than I thought it would be, but it was nothing compared to the Nebuta Festival (Festival of Colors)! Hundreds of people were taking seats on curbs, sidewalks, balcony’s, driveways and even the roads themselves.. there were too many people for anyone to feel truly comfortable. My family and I waited anxiously, hoping that this was all worth the trouble.
As the sun went down, the lights came on, and it all began.
I am not sure if we were the start of the parade or the end, but soon enough the chants, flutes and drums were right before our eyes, guiding these great works of art.
Each one, created from wood, paper, and light, told an old Japanese fable.
I don’t think I will ever loose my fascination for these works of art that have come to be through a year of late nights and early mornings. I hope, someday, I get to see these lights again
嘗試過，您可能會對千疋屋情有獨鍾哦。。。 Fruit sandwiches, which was invented in Japan 100 years ago. It's a very simple food, put fresh fruits and cream between two slice of soft bread. It's colourful, and delicious!!!!
You can get it at convenience stores but should try one in Sembikiya (千疋屋). They have the best of fruits!! You should be careful because once you eat the best fruits in Sembikiya, you will not want to eat regular fruits anymore...

When you have chance to go to kyoto, you should definitely visit Kinkakuji Temple! You'll live to regret it if you don't go!
This picture was taken by iphone5s without any filters. You don't need to bring special cameras with you. You will see the beautiful reflection of Kinkakuji Temple on the surface of the water when the weather is nice and clear. Don't miss the perfect shot!!
