What is a “broker of record” letter, and why do I have to sign one? .
When an insurance company is currently involved on a given client with one broker, in order for that insurance company to instead recognize a DIFFERENT broker A LETTER MUST BE SIGNED BY THE CLIENT to memorialize the change. This can apply to existing policies, or in the case of marketing for the renewal or new purchase. .
Generally a few guiding “rules” (not all insurance companies subscribe completely) will apply:
. 🔺The broker being fired will have 5 days to try to get a rescinding letter before the process is complete
. 🔺The new broker CAN’T GET A DIFFERENT RESPONSE from the insurance company if a declination or terms were already issued (though many insurance companies will allow different terms to be issued in the case of a new purchase/start-up after a period of time has gone by - generally 60 to 90 days)
If you’re considering making a change in which broker you’re working with, it is important that you don’t have your current broker market your policy first.

#StopLossInsurance fact of the week: Prodigy establishes most of our stop-loss insurance plans via a trust. The policyholder (the employer) is a trustee, and must fund this trust to cover any losses incurred through the chosen health plan. #themoreyouknow
Are you self employed and wondering how to remortgage?
Perhaps your fixed rate is coming to an end and you’re now looking to remortgage before you drop onto the Standard Variable Rate (SVR), which could end up costing you more money. However, if since taking out your last mortgage, you’ve now become self-employed, there will be a few things you need to do differently this time round when it comes to remortgaging.
• Preparation is key
Some lenders find it more difficult to assess people’s financial situation who are self-employed, however, fear not, there are a few simple things you can do to make your remortgage as easy as possible...
1. Prove your income.
This is the most important thing you need to make sure you do. You need to provide 3 years’ worth of financial records as this will help evidence your financial position.
Being able to show that you have a healthy stream of work planned e.g. scheduled jobs that are coming up etc. will benefit you as this helps go someway to prove your future incomings.
3. Good credit score.
A good credit history will stand you in good stead when it comes to dealing with the lenders. If you can show you have a good credit score, as well as a healthy deposit and a well-recorded history of finances, you’ll be in a great position for remortgaging.
• Speak to a mortgage adviser
Speaking to a specialist in this field will put you in a great position for getting yourself ready to remortgage. We work with over 90 lenders and have access to over 11,000 mortgages, so we can help find the perfect one for your needs.

•Find your superpower 🔬🌡💡 •In a world where it’s so easy to get mixed into the mess, the hot new thing, or the next trend. I have focused on my own superpower. Being a 23 year old women entrepreneur has open a lot of doors for me. But it has also showed me my path to my own identity. • You see, when you are in a male dominated industry it is easy to want to “fit in” it is almost natural to walk into a meeting and want to be the person less noticeable. However all of the road blocks I have faced in moments of doubt have been my own superhero discovery moments. • What I thought 💭 where my weakness actually became my strengths. Once I decided I was my own competition, I realized all the different powers I had within. When the world got loud and crazy I decided to stay focus on myself and life has centered me back to what actually matters. Today’s message: 🌷Focus on you, your goals, your ambitions and what sets your whole heart on fire. Find your power WITHIN 💎 Surrender what you think you know and allow yourself to explore the unknown. 📚
The little things?
The little moments?
—They aren’t little.
MOMENTS are my current obsession. Not because my past moments have been perfect, but because my future moments aren’t guaranteed.
The 8 month old in this picture is now 2. Last night she moved from her crib to her toddler bed for the first time. Didn’t want to be carried, walked herself up the stairs, and hopped in the bed. As I tucked her in, I was reminded again that fleeting moments are the ones we cherish the most.
