[ werbung ] #qotd ; have you read #callmebyyourname ? and if so how do you feel about the sequel? 🍑
this book was my favourite read of last year, and - as a lot of you people might know - it holds a very special place in my heart. the way it is written is simply magnificent.
today it was announced that mr. aciman’s new novel FIND ME, a sequel to #cmbyn , will be released in october this year. I’m quite hooked because of it because I can’t wait to read more of elio’s life, but I also understand that people are scared of it losing its magic through that.
I for myself absolutely trust in André Aciman’s skills to write a glorious storyline! can’t wait to go back to the feeling I had when started the first book last year for the very first time. ☺️ #graphicdesign#andreaciman#inspirationalquotes#bookish

Sabine Durrant se českému publiku představila už před pěti lety skvělým románem Pod kůží. Tahle lahůdka vyšla během letošního jarního VKČ a doufáme, že si ji nikdo, kdo rád napínavé a čtivé jednohubky, nezapomene přečíst. Byla by to škoda, je to skvělé!

+ My day has consisted of work, QUEER EYE, and doing laundry.
+ I had no idea what @queereye was about. I thought it was a drama show. So, when @junelie.r told me it was a reality TV show about gays making people's lives better, I dove in immediately and I'm not regretting this one bit! It's so freaking good! And it has made me laugh a lot, something only @odaatnetflix show has accomplished (still sad and majorly upset that it got canceled). #RENEWODAAT#SaveODAAT

Instead, the two friends find themselves in a fight for survival.⠀

Happy Cover Reveal @bcherryauthor! This might be the most gorgeous cover I've ever seen!! Eleanor & Grey releases April 8th and I'm so excited to read it!
Greyson East left his mark on me. As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near.
Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again.
When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined.
I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man.
The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain.
When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only. He made me promise not to try to get to know him, not to recall the memories I’d treasured all this time.
But, sometimes, I saw the boy I’d once known in his stormy eyes. I saw the Greyson who smiled and laughed, who had stolen a young girl’s heart, and there was no doubt in my mind that this boy was worth fighting for.
I was given a second chance with the one who’d left his mark on me. All I hoped was that somehow I’d leave a mark on his soul, too.

¡Hola gente!

Happy Thursday Bookworms! 🍃QOTD: Adaptations that you are looking forward to? .
Life update: I have a midterm assignment due today and another one for Sunday. Needless to say, I'm running around like a headless chicken on drugs 😂 .
ROMANCE + CHICK LIT .
Buongiorno #readers !
Fiondatevi in libreria! ⁉️CONOSCETE QUESTO LIBRO E QUESTA AUTRICE? .
⁉️AVETE DEI CHICK LIT CHE AVETE AMATO E CHE MI CONSIGLIATE ? .

My sister and I just landed in Disney World together! I’ll be here for the next four days, so things may be a lil quiet as we spend time together and have fun in the parks! 🥰🙌🏻
I’m almost done reading The Exorcist and should finish maybe even by the end of the night tonight! It’s definitely not “scary”, per se, but disturbing nonetheless! 😬

“Choosing to love—despite all the ways that people let you down, and disappear, and break your heart. Knowing everything we know about how hard life is and choosing to love, anyway...That’s not weakness, that’s courage.”
~Katherine Center, Things You Save in a Fire🌺
In honor of the first day of Spring, I thought I would feature one of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen AND one of my most anticipated reads of the year! I want to say a HUGE thank you to @stmartinspress#partner for sending me this book. I LOVED Katherine Center’s ‘How to Walk Away’...she just writes in such a truthful, captivating, and hopeful way. I mean, that quote I put at the top of this post gave me chills! I truly can’t wait to read this book. ‘Things You Save in a Fire’ releases August 13th and is available for preorder now!🌺
“Cassie Hanwell was born for emergencies. As one of the only female firefighters in her Texas firehouse, she's seen her fair share of them, and she's a total pro at other people's tragedies. But when her estranged and ailing mother asks her to give up her whole life and move to Boston, Cassie suddenly has an emergency of her own. The tough, old-school Boston firehouse is as different from Cassie's old job as it could possibly be. Hazing, a lack of funding, and poor facilities mean that the firemen aren't exactly thrilled to have a "lady" on the crew—even one as competent and smart as Cassie. Except for the infatuation-inspiring rookie, who doesn't seem to mind having Cassie around. But she can't think about that. Because love is girly, and it’s not her thing. And don’t forget the advice her old captain gave her: Never date firefighters. Cassie can feel her resolve slipping...and it means risking it all—the only job she’s ever loved, and the hero she’s worked like hell to become.
Katherine Center's Things You Save in a Fire is a heartfelt and healing tour-de-force about the strength of vulnerability, the nourishing magic of forgiveness, and the life-changing power of defining courage, at last, for yourself.”
