Well guys, it’s been another monthlong break from notivationals but I’m back at running the page again. As always I will say that this seemingly simple habit is something that takes a lot of effort to do so many days I’m discouraged from putting the effort in. Nonetheless I am extremely proud of my projects and I stare at my wall everyday reminding myself that I need to keep trying at it even if that means starting it back up again and again and again.
While I could be talking about the philosophy of “just trying” that’s for another day. What I would like to tell you guys about is something I’m hella stoked about: my New Years resolution.
Now, while im not really a New Years resolution-y person it occurred to me that there was one prime thing that I was missing in my life here in California and it was actually the one thing that was making me so depressed and unmotivated. This one thing is simply going out and doing what I want to do!
While this may sound simple and not really a motivational piece of advice I can argue that it’s actually pivotal to you being the best person you can be. •
Often we fail at doing what we love. In fact, with all the normal life chores we have in our day to day we often find ourselves neglecting our passions in life regardless of how much we are reminded about what we once loved.
I love YouTube and dancing and creating content but I have been putting off something as simple as visiting a local dance studio for MONTHS. This year, I’m committed to planning on going out and trying one new thing a week and following it out and I challenge you to do the same. Each individual is so different and there is no "one diet fits all". I’m certainly not a perfect mother.
I had a lot of messages on how great/perfect my little family is, so I thought I’d share.
I feel overwhelmingly tired everyday. My solution to that is my superfood shake. It gives me energy for days.
I had a meltdown about 30 minutes ago because let’s face it, motherhood is working nonstop around the clock.
I get super frustrated because I try to work from home and Luca is not on a schedule. My solution to take a step back and pray. 🙏🏽 I am very hard on myself and get stressed easily and regular exercise keeps my mental health in check every time.
I often have flashbacks of giving birth and it was very traumatic for me. I feel like moms should be able to open up about that. I thought I was completely mentally prepared for it and I was in one way but clearly not as much as I thought.
I cannot function in the morning without coffee and I make sure I read personal development first thing to set my tone for the day.
My point is, I don’t want to come off as having it all together. No one does. Motherhood is the biggest blessing of my life but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
I’m currently part of an amazing health and fitness support group and that keeps me thriving every day.
I hope someone needed to hear this. Keep at it mamas, you’re doing awesome! 🙌🏽

Health 💼. I haven’t had beef or pork in two years, rarely eat chicken and I feel great. When your mind, body and spirit align the possibilities are crazy. I use to be small as shit 112 pounds at one point 😔 now I’m 150! It’s a lifestyle. Now what? ✨ Today wasn’t great and honestly it impacted my mindset and happiness today and although I try so hard not to let work related things get to me they did today and that’s okay BUT NOW WHAT? Maybe you had a bad day, now what? Maybe someone was rude to you, now what? Maybe you didn’t workout and ate horribly, NOW WHAT? Dwelling on the past and giving more time and energy focusing on things that you can’t control because they already happened is a huge waste of time! You can only control how you react to things and focus on the “now what?” So that’s my challenge to you! Try to focus on the “now what?”
The juuuicest seared garlic ghee scallops, grilled asparagus, and basil-sage fettuccine on tonight’s dinner menu❤️💯🥰 Fun fact: seared scallops are my favorite seafood (you thought it was salmon, didn’t you? 🤣). However it’s been a hot second since I’ve made them, so decided to remedy that situation tonight, and prepped them the easiest (and best) way: seared in garlic ghee (you can sub regular butter) with lots of extra garlic 👌🏻. If you make this meal (and you totally should), I guarantee heart eyes, happy taste buds, and stinky breath 😍🙊.
whatsonmyplate: seared garlic sea scallops (pat scallops dry with paper towels *this is very important for a good sear* and season with @simplyorganic garlic salt (or sea salt); in a pan, heat 1 tsp. avocado oil + 1 tsp. garlic ghee in a for 1 minute; add scallops and sear for 2 minutes, or until lightly brown; flip and sear on the other side for 2 mins) •• grilled asparagus w/ parmesan •• @cappellos garlic-sage fettuccine (toss fettuccine in olive oil, basil, sage, garlic, and parmesan).

If your goal is to optimize building muscle or losing fat, it’s best to choose one or the other. Losing fat requires a caloric deficit as opposed to putting on lean muscle, which requires a caloric surplus. -
Building muscle and going through a cut do not happen synonymously, so it’s best to put 100% of your effort into one or the other.
