In the Mobile Kappa League, the advisors only advise. You will never see an advisor leading anything. The Leaguers are trained to make their own decisions and to present their own information to their membership as well as in public settings. #TrainingForLeadership#GuideRight#WhyKappasMentor@mac_1950

#KappaAlphaPsi's 108th Founders Day reminds Nupes of the following; 1). The Fraternity was situated within the social-political climate of the time, which was characterized by #JimCrow's exclusionary laws upheld by Federal, State, and local governments. Specifically, Black folks had limited options of where they could attend school, as most attended segregated all-Black schools via public and Higher education, 2). The Fraternity emerged within the continuity of all-Black Mutal Aide Societies, all-Black Abolitionists Societies, during the era of Slavery and Fraternities and Sororities within higher education-community by 1903, 3). The 10 Founders sought to use the tools of #Christianity, #DemocraticIdeals, #Achievement, and #Dreaming to help shrink exclusion and to access resources that were denied to Black students on the campus of #IndianaUniversityBloomington and the larger #Bloomington community, 4). That the Founders encrusted their "Dream" into the language and artifacts related to the Fraternity, which is a "source of delight and joy," in that, 5). despite the imperfections of the Fraternity's men, can still aspire to something much greater than themselves and the Brothers would then take these ideas into the broader Black community to ignite a revolution within the bodies and thoughts of Black people that could be handed 6). to each successive generation of Fraternity men and to Black children and adults and that 7). the Fraternity members will depend on the intellectual-cultural history of the Fraternity and social-political history of American History to revolutionize a new generation until exclusion of Black people is no more.

Take every opportunity to mentor a young man. Fraternity/sorority culture gets criticized for many things, some of which is warranted. But this is what you don’t see. Tonight we concluded our Summer ‘18 session with the induction of 25 young men into Kappa League. They will now be guided & trained by men who are achieving in every field. Special shout out to the young lion, Sai. When you see them, just know that’s me. #KappaLeague#KL#TrainingForLeadership#GuideRight#YoLeague@kappaleague.br@bra_kappas@alphasigmanupes1935
