The #MotorVehicleDepartment are awaiting delivery of a Greenpower F24 Kit Car for the Motorsport and Body & Paint learners. The learners will build the kit car and then design the body shell to enable it to compete in the Greenpower events that take place across the year at different race tracks. Learners will compete in 60 minute endurance races. The team that goes the furthest distance within the time limit wins using a single 24 volt motor powered by two 12 volt batteries linked in series. The #Greenpower events use the excitement of Motorsport to inspire young people to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

My content was a little advanced for Greenpower students, so I've simplified it and will be releasing the first online course next week. The courses are application specific workflows and in this one, we’ll start with the Solid Edge assembly of the Formula 24 kit car and introduce the concept sketch to modeling phase. #greenpowertrust#greenpowerusa#solidedge#solidedgetraining#surfacemodeling

Bluebird came 3rd in both F24 races and Purple came 10th in race 2 after having to retire in race 1 after our steering snapped. Also in our F24+ race our brand new car X, came 6th which was a huge achievement to get it running at all today
