these pancakes weren’t my breakfast today but i totally wish they were 😍 last weekend i made these whole wheat vegan pancakes and topped them with banana, sliced almonds, dark chocolate, and shredded coconut 😋
on sunday, i went running for the first time in a while. even though i only went about 2 miles, it was still not something my body was very used to because it had been almost a year since i’d done it. not to mention my body for some reason does not like running... 😂
so unsurprisingly, on monday, my hip was not feeling too great. i was planning on running again that day, but i knew if i did, i’d be even more sore on tuesday when i had gymnastics.
so i just decided to listen to not run. i did a fun indoor workout instead. and on tuesday, my body was definitely thanking me 😊 i had a really good gymnastics practice & probably wouldn’t have been able to do that if i was super sore! yes, i had thoughts of “you’re just looking for an excuse to not run” and “you’re being lazy” but i knew i was doing the right thing. listening to your body is so important! i hope everyone is doing well ❤️
The past year has been the most difficult in my life, but I’m beyond grateful for all of the people — friends, family, coworkers, peers, and many others — who have supported and valued me through it all. The sun is shining today, and I’m so privileged to be able to exhale and enjoy it.

deep belly laughter
honoring my anxiety with compassion
learning belly breathing
being consistent with my meditation practice
being able to afford healthy, nourishing food
the support around me
having the courage to be vulnerable
feeling safe and secure in my own space
tulips growing everywhere
wonderful Easter in the sunshine
growing as a person
