Just arrived at "Lo-Fi Store", ITALY (www.lofistore.com): - Earthquaker Devices "Grand Orbiter" V3
Built in Akron, Ohio USA by the guys from @earthquakerdev
The Grand Orbiter™ is a 4 stage OTA-based phaser with a diverse feature set that can go from stationary and resonant to slow and mellow and on through fast and swirly. It has three way toggle switch to select between the ranges of modulation: Rate 1 is slow sweep mode, Rate 2 kills the LFO and allows you to use the Grand Orbiter as a fixed resonant filter and Rate 3 is fast sweep mode. The master Rate control fine tunes the speed of the LFO in each of these modes and the flashing red LED acts as a visual indicator, even when the effect is in bypass mode. The Depth control blends the shifted signal in with the dry signal and controls the intensity of the effect. The Sweep control governs the peak frequency of the phased signal’s tone, turned full clockwise the sweep is lively and intense, whereas turning counter clockwise yields a darker, more laid back peak. The Resonance provides a wide range of control over regeneration and at higher settings adds a more pronounced and resonant tone. You can also use the Grand Orbiter as a true pitch vibrato with the “Phase/Vibrato” switch. When in “Vibrato” mode, the dry signal is removed and the Depth controls acts as a volume control. This pedal is 100% analog, true bypass and built by entirely by hand in beachy Akron, Ohio.
Who wore it better? Just got the Blackout Effectors Whetstone Phaser in an awesome trade with @alexantunezcgy. This is the first phaser I’ve used that gives the Grand Orbiter a run for its money!

Got the itch this weekend. I found programming midi with the ES-8 was too cumbersome and kept me from playing, so I switched things to a relatively simpler setup on a Temple Duo 24 with more ability to swap pedals. Chain: Wampler Mini Ego Compressor > Keeley Germanium Oxblood OD > MXR La Machine Fuzz > Adventure Audio Power Couple Boost > Mooer Tender Octaver > Walrus Julia Chorus > Earthquaker Devices Grand Orbiter Phaser > JHS Pink Panther Delay > Red House Electronics Ghost Ridge Reverb
SERIES ONE // VOL III @earthquakerdev Grand Orbiter Phaser SLEEPER HIT BONUS SETTING: When’s the last time you were playing live and you screamed to the heavens over the music, “WHAT THE SHIT WHERE IS MY TONE,” and volume and overdrive desert your hands for dead? HEAD ON OVER to the often overlooked “manual mode” where you actually move the sweep with your hand. Or toe. Personally, if I know I’m not going to use the phaser in a set, I’ll dial these settings up, and when that god awful moment happens, though I’ll still need to contend with volume, I can use this as a sort of manually buffered EQ-lite, for all intents and purposes. Can’t hear your twang over the bass? Hit it. No tone in your taps? Hit and bring back the sweep for meatier low end, especially if you put his near the end of your chain. RES: 6 RATE: 6 DEPTH: 6 SWEEP: 2 TOGGLE: 2. Thank me later! #live#troubleshoot#eqd#sleeper#sleepersettings#settings#tone#earthquakerdevices#grandorbiter#dope#toggle#pdx#eugene#portland#oregon#seattle#robertlangstudios

A couple people I’ve talked to recently have mentioned that even though they love Earthquaker Devices pedals, they tend to have a really loud and hard to press footswitch. So out of curiosity I decided to swap out the switch on my own Grand Orbiter to try and see and feel a difference. Speaking only for myself I’d have to say it’s a big difference! It’s much less noticeable when turning on and off and it’s a lot easier to press down on. The video where I compare the two is hard to tell of big difference through the iPhone mic, but in person it’s quite noticeable, it’s also really hard to press the stock switch by hand. So there you have it! I hope this helps anyone who is curious, and I’d be happy to do a swap for anyone interested! Just slide into my DM’s. #earacheffects#earthquakerdevices#grandorbiter#footswitch

This week the guys have been delving into our new range of selected #earthquakerdevices effects. In this excerpt they begin chaining several together and hit upon the combination of Avalanche Run (crazy wild delay) ➡️ Grand Orbiter (phaser) ➡️ Afterneath (ambient reverb) with some luscious results. Wait for the end - you really are hearing them experience this for the first time 🙂. Featuring @joel_kidd on guitar & @declan_kitts on knobs. #eqd#avalancherun#grandorbiter#afterneath@earthquakerdev
