Is it the alcohol that’s the worst or is it what you do on your way home and the day after? We all know that eating junk food while you rot in bed is more appealing than eating chicken and greens and going to the gym!
If you’re dieting hard for a big goal in the short term, or on prep, with very low calories, then it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to waste the calories on alcohol. Especially if you know it’s going to affect your training the next day, you’re going to half arse your cardio and sack the steps off. That would be silly.
If you’re not, then alcohol can be fine... you’ve got to live too! You can pick lower calorie drinks and adjust your macros around it if you’re tracking. Or you can just enjoy it, then move on and get back on track the next day.
I used to go out every weekend, then spend the next day eating the world, only get out of bed to go to the fridge or to open the door to the pizza delivery guy, then feel even worse. Today, I woke up early, my head felt like it was going to explode and I needed sleep, but I dragged my sorry arse out of bed, trained legs and did some cardio. It was thee worst session of my life, I couldn’t lift for shit and I didn’t even manage half my cardio. Lying on the mat after 2 sit ups was more appealing than squatting. So for me, it is not worth it and I’m going back to the T-Total life🙅🏽♀️ Today’s challenge is not to be a penis and fill my body with goodness instead. But does goodness include pizza and pj party?🤔
