Don’t tell me you’re too old... for anything. Age is simply a number. Just like the number on the scale, or the blood pressure machine, or the balance in your bank account. The numbers will all change and then change again. What you need to realize is that you have some control over what those numbers do. So don’t be a martyr. Don’t wish things would get better, yet do nothing to make that happen. Decide what changes you want to see and what you’re willing to do and then do it.
Be prepared. No change worth making is easy. You must sacrifice something... time, money, sleep, sweat, a little bit of physical pain, maybe addressing certain behaviors and/or relationships that have not served you well. But I’m here to tell you that every step you make toward your desired change is empowering and unbelievably liberating. Be that example for your kids, other family members, your friends, your community. Give yourself permission to take care of yourself… whether you’re 22 or 52! :) Sharing some pictures of my journey the this past year... #fitat52#ageisjustanumber#fitover50#bigjonfitness#girlswholift#fitnessmotivation#fitspo#weightlosstransformation#nevertooold#nevertoolate#girlswithtattoos#girlswithmuscle

Alright, it’s no excuses November and I’m loving it! I’m looking for people who have goals to achieve so we can crush them together.
Are you too busy?
I used to think that too, but cutting out the travel time to the gym and doing 30-40 minute programs has gotten rid of that excuse!
Don’t know where to start?
That’s what a support group and coach are for!
Not sure you can afford it?
WAY more affordable than you’d think!
Let’s end the year strong and get a head start on the journey to a happier and healthier you! 💕

Dropped my oldest off for a Lego robotics competition and then got in a good sweat. I hit 85lbs FOR REPS on my jerk with NO shoulder pain!!! That’s a minor miracle for me after fighting my right shoulder for the past year. Cleans and snatches are feeling faster and I keep working on hip extension and getting under the bar. I was a happy girl when I was done. 😊
Just a reminder - there is a difference between muscle soreness and pain! Soreness is normal, but pain is not. If you’re experiencing pain when you move, GET HELP! I’ve started seeing a local chiropractor for my shoulder and for corrective adjustment in general (I’ve had various skeletal alignment issues throughout my life), and I can already see a difference in how I feel and in how I’m recovering. ❤️
(Thanks you, @functionalcarerx, for gently pushing me to get the care that I needed.)
After my season is over I’m going to try and bulk a little. The reason being I feel I have achieved what I wanted, at the moment, for my natural body weight and I think it’s time to set some new goals.📈 (btw @sweat.collection sorry I cut up the shirt, I liked it with sleeves but I wanted to see if it’d look good without them)
Trying to make things more interesting🚩
(Don’t worry I’ll get there soon)
One of the biggest mistakes I made for a majority of the time I’ve been training is trying new things. From testing myself to communicating with others, that may very well know more than I do. It’s held me back for a while but I now feel more open to try some new stuff which in turn has presented me with more opportunities.

Tried some new stuff and hit legs today (extremely happy I got legs done and out of the way cuz I hate hitting them)
Self-improvement is the only thing that matters. Go at your own pace and by your own terms. Don’t lose sight of your vision just because others don’t understand or appreciate it. Fuck being perfect. Just get better. 🦁
How to stay motivated? 🤔 One of the most common questions I get. Most of the time people are referring to fitness/going to the gym. But think about this 👉🏼 the way you show up in one thing, is the way you show up in *most* things👈🏼
I am motivated, dedicated, and passionate about my fitness, just like I am motivated, dedicated, and passionate about my career, my clients, and my business. 🙌🏼 I don’t do things mediocre. So ask yourself, how do you show up in other areas of your life? Are you getting sh*t done, or are you...not?🧐
I know the typical response to “how to stay motivated?” is: 1. Set your alarm 2. Have your gym clothes ready 3. Plan your workout ahead...🙄
But let’s be honest, you can do all those things and still not go to the gym. You have to WANT IT on a deeper level. ✨ The gym/fitness is a standard I set for myself because:
👉🏼Strength empowers me in all aspects of my life
👉🏼 My gym-time is MY time; it’s a huge stress-reliever in my life
👉🏼Fitness is the gateway to feeling good in my body, and when I feel good in my body, I feel AMAZING in general
So instead of looking for all the *best* tips, and sitting there creeping all people *you want to be like*, go DO what you need to do to achieve your goals 🙌🏼
Who’s with me? 🙋🏼♀️

What up what up 😎 I’ve been killing tha macro game so I’m coming at you today with a little bit of a #dietupdate 😜👊🏽
It had been a while, but lately I’ve been so motivated to really get my ish back together when it comes to my nutrition and training. So, earlier this month, Erica and I sat down to write our programming for the next 12 weeks. &&&& I linked back up with the boss man @seeyoulaterleaner so we could slowly transition out of the keto diet!
About four weeks ago, I started at 50C 120F, but each and every week, coach has been slowly taking some fats and adding some carbs back. Just a few weeks later I’m up to 160C and 60F. At first, I did experience a lil bit of whooooshing (water weight retention) but that was just for a few days and I’ve actually lost another 7lbs since quitting keto! 👊🏽
How am I feeling? Well, the carbs are great, don’t get me wrong, but what I think is really amazing is how my glucose levels are staying within normal ranges, my sleep is still pretty good, my strength is through the roof, my energy levels have improved, and I’m still dropping CONSISTENT weight!
I’m getting ready to send the boss man another check-in, so I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on the rest of this diet phase 🤗 I hope you have an amazing weekend! 💕

LEG WORKOUT. Save this post to refer back to it! #EvolutionBooty
Leg Press on Assisted Pull Up Machine - Try it sideways! Standing on the ground allows you to feel the stretch even more in your glutes
Kneeling Squats - Knees should be a little more than shoulder width apart. Squeeze and hold your glutes at the top of the rep
Squats on Smithe Machine - I started off doing pause squats because that’s what I thought I was supposed to do lol but then my coach said to just to go low .
Squats with resistance bands - lol my coach recorded the first couple reps before I asked for a spot. Resistance bands add more difficulty and engages the glutes more
Deadlifts with Trap Bar - Using the trap bar puts your body in a different position, targeting different muscles
