So last Wednesday my friend @srae_87 and I randomly said fuck it, let’s try to see how much we can squat. I wasn’t planning on reaching a new PR but HOLY FUCK I have a new squat PR of 185lbs!!! WHAT!!?! (Savannah was touching the bar but she said she wasn’t helping lift)
Now to many that may not seem like much but I haven’t been able to get above 175 in soooo long. Thanks to Savannah and Smolov Calc I have been working so hard on my strength and it’s so fucking rewarding to see results! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds for my goals.
I have also been working a lot more on stretching and my form. I know it’s nooooowhereeeee near perfect, (so don’t judge) but I’m so fucking happy!!

What’s my # 1 piece advice for growing your glutes??
Be INTENTIONAL with your workouts ✨ & this goes for anything you’re training for or other goals you may have 👊🏼
When you’re intentional, your head’s in the game - you’re present & your focus is on the desired outcome 🍑 You move with purpose, you feel your muscles, you go the extra mile, you work until your satisfied
If you’re half assing it in the gym, you’re gonna get half assed results 🤨 If you’re cheating yourself, you’re not going to reach your goals. So don’t be upset when you don’t see progress, taking intentional ACTION is required
With glutes training, your mind needs to be focusing on the exact muscles you’re trying to recruit from primarily⚡️It can take a lot of conscious effort to make our movements glutes dominant
If you’re really stoked about achieving your goals, you’ll gladly show up & do the work. Knowing you put in a real effort is extremely satisfying 😊 On the other hand, some days it’s easier to have a great workout than others.. & that’s ok! Progress isn’t linear 🧚🏼♀️
Next time you begin a workout check in with yourself. What are your goals? Are you ready to chase them or are you just going through the movements? The choice is yours 💪🏼
