Over the past year I’ve realized I need to stop racing against the clock and begin to enjoy every second. Life is short and I don’t want to look back 10 years from now and realize that I wasn’t truly living. I’ve always struggled with looking ahead instead of truly enjoying what’s happening right now. I used to be the skinniest, most awkward guy in middle school/high school. So glad I got in the gym and started doing those embarrassing workouts—at the time when I couldn’t even do a push-up—to build my confidence. There’s nothing better than feeling good about yourself. Working out changed my life. It gave me an outlet, allowed me to set goals, build confidence, make lifelong best friends, get even closer to my parents, look/ feel better than ever, and motivate others to do the same! I don’t care what you do or how you do it, but get active and stay with it for a while. I’m guessing you’ll feel the same.

big girl stuff today :) updating my LinkedIn, got my lift in first thing in the morning, didn’t spend money on uber (this is a big deal for me guys, Fr fr) and finallllly got to go to my meditation center. My schedule hasn’t really allowed for it but I managed to sneak it in today. To say it was needed is an understatement. Plans for this semester: I’m working officially now with my school’s news team - I honestly put this off for a couple years bc it’s hard work and more work than any of my classes. BUT it’s the most important thing I can do for my future self rn. So it’s a priority. Also looking to join a rec soccer team here because I feel like it’s my last chance and I want to overcome the mental battle that is playing sports post ACL surgery. I haven’t stepped on a field since the day I tore it. Anyway, that’s it for now. Happy Thursday pals 🖤

The beginning phases of a cut can often be the hardest. You’re putting in the work, but the results aren’t super apparent in the mirror yet.
It can be mentally hard, but the biggest thing is just to be patient and stay consistent.

Make sure your own worst enemy doesn’t live between your ears.
Just under 7 weeks to go. After my first crappy week of training I’ve had in a while, it got me all kinds of frustrated. Everything just feels so heavy and gross. Like I somehow just forgot how to lift, lol. I know that this is part of the game, though - and it’s impossible to have perfect training sessions 100% of the time.
Time to rest, eat, prioritize recovery and stress and hit it hard again in a couple days. Just gotta keep workin’. 😤 #headdowneyesforward
