First day back at the gym in 6 weeks. I started the workout at home and finished it up at LA Fitness.
With each exercise it was a bit of a learning curve. Everything was limited to 3 sets with weight reduced anywhere from 25-50% depending on what lift it was. I clearly lost strength and size over the past month and a half. Should be a fun journey to get back into proper shape.
Overall I had no forearm pain which was my main goal. Tomorrow is legs followed by back on Wednesday. Back is going to be the real test on my forearm as all pulling motion is a bit rough.

Video 1 is on ring dips. It felt good to get back on these today. Only sets of 10 today and I don't know if I could have pulled 15 off.
Video 2 is on Close Grip Ring Push Ups. Sets of 15 weren't too bad. My core felt these quite a bit!
Video 3 is on TRX Extensions. I finally got to use this and I've had it since Christmas! My body angle wasn't overly aggressive but these always hit the tri's good.
Video 4 is on TRX Flys. This felt amazing today! The stretch feeling has been missed!
Video 5 is on Decline Bench. It's a bit of a mental fuck when the last time I was on this I had 225 for 7 or 8 reps and now I'm struggling with 185 😂 Once 4 weeks in hits it should be better as my weights will normalize out.
Video 6 is on Incline Bench with a self spot. Incline was rough in general. I was pretty spent by this point.
Video 7 is on Straight Arm Cable Pull Downs. These actually rocked my shoulders more than anything. Don't mind my bad form at the end.

The pups and I love living that #chiropracticlifestyle ! I know from personal experience working as a chiropractor that most people assume that chiropractic is a quick fix or a one-time solution for some sort of ache like low back pain. Indeed chiropractic has been found to be extremely effective in the resolution of bodily pain (with more than one visit usually btw just like your body doesn't develop a six pack from signing up at the gym and going once! ;) ) BUT CHIROPRACTIC IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT! IT'S A LIFESTYLE!!!!! And it's a lifestyle that lifted up my own life and helped me become one of the healthiest versions of myself to date. I remember when I started chiropractic school. I had embarrassingly poor posture, poor eating habits, no motivation to work out. I wasn't drinking enough water. I was consumed by schoolwork and not finding the right work-life balance to diminish my stress levels. But over the years as I was slowly introduced to new concepts of holistic living I fell more and more in love with the lifestyle. Now I can say that the chiropractic lifestyle entails all of my FAV things including: diet, exercise, adequate rest, ALIGNMENT, mindset and stress management. Could you ever imagine that all those things could affect your health? It's true, and there's more and more research studies coming out to prove it. I know that list can seem a little intimidating but you honestly just start where you are, with what you have and make a plan to take one step at a time! Don't know where to start? Ask us!
