Senate confirms Aishah Ahmad, Lametek Adamu as CBN deputy governors!
The Senate today confirmed the nomination of Aishah Ahmad and Edward Lametek Adamu as deputy governors of Central Bank of Nigeria. Ahmad and Adamu were nominated by President Buhari in October 2017 and February 2018 respectively.
However, their confirmations were delayed by the Senate after it placed an embargo on all presidential nominees following a faceoff with the presidency. “I would like to thank the Committee on Banking and Finance and all our colleagues for this action today. We promised the country last week that within a week we would carry out this confirmation and we have done this.”,” Senate President Bukola Saraki said shortly the confirmation.
The senate also confirmed three nominees for appointment as members of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the CBN. Those confirmed for the appointment are Prof. Adeola Adenikinju, Dr Aliyu Sanusi and Dr Robert Asogwa. The confirmation followed the consideration and adoption of the screening report of Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions.
One of the nominees for the MPC, Dr Asheikh Maidugu, was rejected because he failed to answer some of the question he was asked during the screening.
Yesterday I shared something I was excited about and I deleted it because of all the are negative comments.
It has nothing to do with it being bad! It’s a software I use. But people associated it with another software that shut down and took people’s money. .
Sometimes it has nothing to do with if it’s true or a lie. It has to do with the rejecting of something people do not find feasible to their reality structure.
Crypto can be a hard pill to swallow because there are so many scams out there… .
However it is still in my opinion the best way to make money so if you believe it or not, I will keep making money with it.
So as they say in Australia… TURU
P.S. Karma is there to keep people in check. If you say, think or do nasty things then it will come back into you 3 times worse. Same if you do and think great thinks you will get rewarded! Keep being a good person xo 😘
Stock Market Today: Stocks fell on Friday, adding to their steep weekly losses, as investors assess the possibility of a trade war brewing between the U.S. and China.

You can see that people have been buying a little bit of the options that expire next week which would give you a little protection over the weekend," said Patrick Kernan of Cardinal Capital. Kernan, who trades in the pit at the Cboe, said the sell off this week has been a lot more orderly than February's decline. "There's not lots of panic," he said.
