There’s a new post up on Simply Shannonagins talking about something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. We tend to talk about our struggles, and how it’s totally okay to be okay. And I couldn’t agree more with that sentiment! But what about being okay? What about being great? Well I think we should embrace that too! Head over to the blog (link in bio) to read more.
Are you 30 years old? 40? 50? And you still haven’t figured life out?
Stop freaking out.
All of this pressure coming from family, friends and state is completely warping people’s sense of time and when things need to be accomplished by, and when you NEED to figure your life out.
Snap out of that shit.
Find something you love to do and just go for it.

When my daughter came in to my bedroom this morning with a very grumpy & sad face the reality dawned.
I’d forgotten 😲
Or Fairy 🧚♂️ Elsa Moonlight had forgotten to collect her tooth. 🤫
Naughty 🧚♀️, said daughter!! She had a very busy night, I fibbed!
In all seriousness I felt awful. How did I forget I started down an old familiar path of I’m a rubbish parent not helped by seeing her so upset, that made me upset and start to self criticise even more!
Then I reminded myself I am only human, I’m not the first parent and certainly won’t be the last, I will sometimes get things wrong, I am a great mum and tonight Fairy Elsa Moonlight will have deep pockets and will leave ribbons, sparkles, bells and the kitchen sink!! Don’t be too hard on yourself. Life happens. 😊
When things are feeling out of balance try not to get stuck in a negative thought process, aim to go with the flow as much as you can. Remember difficult times will pass & you won't be 'stuck' where you are forever. Tomorrow is a new day & brings a new opportunity to start again.
If you're feeling stuck right now try to imagine a river running down stream, picture the current washing your worries away, taking them far off into the distance until they're completley out of view, imagine the noise as the water trickles by, maybe picture the sun glistening on the horizon 🌅 remember #tomorrowisanotherday#startagain#gowiththeflow#letgo#itwillpass#beginagain#dontbetoohardonyourself
Don't be like everyone else, be the person you see in the mirror. You don't need anyone's validation. We don't live to satisfy others opinions of us - we live to create the perfect world for ourselves. Smile because your individuality it what makes you special. 💪🏾🙏🏾👊🏾 📷crédito: @yomo28
Happy #day11 of the #last90days 🎉🎉 this quote is beautiful... yes, you’re going to falter and fall, but that does not mean you have to stay down, you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep on keeping on.

When you know you’ve put every energy in your body to become a better woman/person, remember that you need to rest. It is so crucial to give yourself that time to refresh, so that you can keep on smashing through life’s obstacle without draining yourself. Go do something to get your mind off what’s stressing you, then revisit the situation in a better mindset. #dontbetoohardonyourself#restwhenyouneedto#mentalhealthcomesfirst
Don’t be too hard on yourself. .
Someone I look up to said this to me yesterday and it’s exactly what I needed to hear 👍🏻
True story. I am harder on myself then anyone else and I definitely don’t celebrate my successes in the same way I do others. .
This is part of the problem with being a goal driven person - when you don’t hit your goals and you did everything in your power to do so you feel like a failure. I do this all the time. .
So - this is what I will work on. I will celebrate small successes and even if I don’t reach a goal I will focus on the positive and those things I did do. For example, exercising 5 days per week this past week. .
What you can do
💜 say nice things to yourself 💜 keep going no matter the result 💜 give yourself a break .

There aren't many days I'm not smiling. This morning definitely wasn't my finest Monday though! After a horrendous nights sleep, a headache that's lingered for nearly a week and fighting off a women who tried to push me out of my very squished spot on the tube I experienced my first anxiety attack in nearly a year.
There I was trying to control my breathing as we walked up the stairs when my chest started hammering and my breath, uncontrollable . By the time I reached the escalator being inside had me feeling terrified. As I reached the top my heart was beating far too fast in my chest and I had that feeling of pressure, like after you've ran for the first time in forever.
As I emerged back onto the street, breath short, and head spinning a man was distributing the @balanceldn magazine outside my exit. On the front cover was an article saying, "and breath... beat panic attacks" and my word was the irony not lost on me.
So here's a little reminder that there is far more behind every image anyone posts on Instagram and that although we may want to be strong, sometimes our bodies are a lot more fragile than we want to admit. O, and sometimes the universe likes to send you general reminders that everything will be ok in the weirdest of ways.
