Beautiful curly hair! Hannah has had a love for her curls for a very long time. It shows in the care that she gives to her curls.
After dry shaping Hannah’s curls we cleansed with @devacurl Low-Poo Original and hydrated with very little DevaCurl Decadence One Conditioner and lots of water. We set her curls with @devacurl Set-it-free spray and CoConut Supercream. Lastly we finished with a light spray oh deva curl high shine spray. How do you like Hannah’s end results????? When styling I like to keep the product selection simple. Two - three products max if possible. What are your styling go to’s? •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Today was an exceptional day! It was a beautiful spring day with the sun in full glory AND I got to create a haircut on my new stylist friend @lauraallen.hair!
She is amazingly talented and we had a blast talking life, travel, photography, minimalism, sustainable living and all things salon life. Plus she has incredibly fun hair and she gave me the opportunity to work with her waves! Totally digging her Jayne Edo-esque bangs, shoot I didn't get pictures of them, next time!
I was honored she trusted me with her hair and I can't wait to see the fun ways her wavy look evolves as we move into a bit more length in our future appointments. Today was about a foundational shape and tightening the nape area.
Do you and your stylist have a road map for your future hair? What are your hair goals in the next 6 months? Tell me, I'd love to hear!
My curl story/request for help!
So I had a bob for a really long time. I didn’t know how to properly take care of my hair then. I used the cheaper curly products with all the bad stuff in it. I then grew it out really long. I still didn’t use the right products and my hair had a tendency to be dry/frizzy. I also started dying it red very consistently. It was super pretty, but my hair was definitely not as great as it could have been. While my hair was long, I learned about DevaCurl, but I didn’t start using it because of the price. Then I cut my hair. From long to pixie! I was finally able to afford DevaCurl because I didn’t have to use a crazy amount of product. It is the best my hair has ever looked by far! I loved it so much! Then I made a HUGE jump! I shaved my head!!! December 29, 2017 until January 2019, I have been rocking the buzz cut and loving it! But I miss my curls. So now I’m growing it back out to be a undercut bob (a longer version of the pixie cut I had). I loved how my hair looked while using DevaCurl, but it is pricey. So I need your help!! What products to you use and love? I’m looking to explore my options as I move back into the curly world! #curlyhair#curlygirlmethod#devacurl#naturalcurl#growingouthair#hairproducts#helpme#needadvice#whatisyourfavorite
Not gonna lie.. the past 6 months have been an experiment! Finding out which products work for my curl type and which ones don’t, learning about the ingredients and being hellllla PATIENT! The curly hair journey made me fall back in love with my curls, it was so eye opening to see how much I was frying my hair with heat and bleach. Can’t wait to see what happens in the months to come 😍 but in the mean time here’s some things that helped me:
* Sulfate/dimethicone/paraben free shampoos and conditioners- I only wash 2x a week!
* NO HEAT AT ALL (even from the diffuser use on cool setting)
* You have to cut the dead pieces off, sacrifice length yes, but what’s the point if all of it is dead anyways
* NO HAIR DYES
* DEEP DEEP DEEP condition 2x/week
* Massage scalp with oils-simple yet very effective!
Welcome to day 6 hair lol. My hair literally doesn’t even know what oil is anymore 🤣 I never had issues with it in the past but usually by day 4 I had to put dry shampoo in. Well it’s day 6 and there is no trace of oiliness 🤷🏼♀️ but, my curls are flat and stretched, the frizz is a little much, and my scalp is beginning to itch. So wash day is finally here. Also, I bought a new shampoo brush 🙌🏻 can’t wait to try!
