New workout space, new week, new goals, new perspective...let’s do this!
Monday is a great day to get up and move your body! By working out on a Monday it sets the tone for the entire week. You are more likely to workout the rest of the week if you get a workout in on Monday! It’s a proven fact!
So make sure you do something for you today, a walk, lift, yoga, take a class, just do something to move your body!!
Needed to let a few things off my chest.
So over the last few months, probably since early August I've been doubting myself and what I'm doing. Thinking that I'm on the wrong road, took the wrong turn. Not seeing the positives, hell even seeing some positives as negatives. Thinking that I've hit my ceiling.
But the last few weeks have shown me that progress is happening. I'm no where near my ceiling, there is so much more I can do.
These last 2 weeks alone I've set all these PRs
235lb 5x Back Squat
150lb 3x Thruster
185lb 3x Hang Power Clean
325lb 3x Deadlift
150lb Hang Power Snatch
10 unbroken kipping HSPU
172lb Body weight
Big thank you to my coach Justin for reframing what I thought were negatives. Also shout out to @serenity_strong and @kindalikabigdyl for pushing me.
And to @steggallb14 for being a antagonistic jerk telling me go faster. Lol
But the point if this is, keep on the grind. You may not see your results for a long time. But they are happening. You are not wasting your time. Keep putting in the time and effort. It will pay off someday.
Lately I've been training with regular #dumbbells but I NEED to practice w/ what I'm going to be using in competition,.. so with this circus DB I had to figure a new technique to clean it. Felt good and happy to troubleshoot this! Last pic: for the month of December and January there's a #sale of ETP shirts & tank tops! They're 25% off. Message me 4 details!! #ELEVATETHEPLATEAU#TFW # #TOPSTRENGHTPROJECT#Newlocation#fitlifestyle
I took full advantage of Golds Gym in Cali. Truly is the Mecca of gyms. Going in there and just seeing all people, race, and religion come together with one goal in mind: Strive to become better! Amazing atmosphere and an amazing gym!!! #becomebetter#striveforgreatness#betterthenyesterday
You’ve heard the saying “the struggle is real” but did you know the struggle is NECESSARY?
That’s right... the struggle is 100% necessary.
Think about it. Think about every successful person you’ve ever encountered. This weekend I heard from leaders all over the country and Canada and while they all had different backgrounds and different paths to success they all had one thing in common.
And I always knew it wouldn’t come easy...but previously when I’ve experienced struggle it’s been discouraging to me. It shaken my mindset. It’s caused me pain. But now...now my mindset had shifted. Now I know that the struggle is apart of the process on the path of success. It’s not an unfortunate event, it’s NECESSARY. It’s another stepping stone on the path to my eventual success.
Now I welcome the struggle because I’m being built and each struggle is a moment that catapults me into greatness. And one day when I’m standing on that stage sharing my message and telling about my struggle I’ll remember that I became who I am not despite my struggles but because of them.
