Did you know :Legend has it that in the 1930s a local Cape Town newspaper claimed that Cape Town was the only city in South Africa that could justly call itself a metropolis. The public took to this description and because the word metropolis is taken from the Greek derivative of meter or metros meaning mother and polis meaning city, the nickname of “Mother City” was born.

I have always loved the zoo and Toronto has spoiled me with the amount of space given to the beautiful creatures it holds but London zoo did not disappoint. Kids were sharing their wildlife knowledge pointing to King Julian and Pumba 😂 (official species) while the rest had the sensible idea to lie under a tree and stay cool. Lucky for me the giraffes were out to say hi.🦒
Living in the moment is essential for maintaining a mindful lifestyle and dealing with the stresses of everyday life. How much time do we spend every day waiting for the next thing to happen, thinking about the next thing we have to do, or ruminating about something that’s past?
The secret is not only to stay in the present moment, but to find positivity in it. What is amazing and wondrous? What can we be grateful for? What lesson can we take from this moment, right now?
Living in the moment can be an exhausting task, and it’s not easy.
There will be many times, even after you think you’ve mastered this skill, that you find your mind wandering into the future or the past. When you notice it happening, gently bring your mind back to the present without judgement. Remember the saying, “Energy flows where attention goes.” #shotononeplus#oneplus

Did you Spiti in winters was almost inaccessible till 2015?
Bad roads, lack of machinery, extreme weather conditions made it almost impossible for the locals to operate in such conditions. Here the locals start stacking wood, food, and other resources almost months in advance and prepare for months of hibernation. While most of the villages still do.
Things are getting better now, every year. More and more people now have access to medical, hygienic and daily functionalities even in winters.
You can help be a part of it while you witness the surreal beauty with the locals. Link in bio.
