Having mastered the idiosyncrasies of pre-war Aston Martins, Will zooms down this Cotswolds country road with much more confidence.
LM3, the car pictured, is a particularly historic motor car, which we are very privileged to be currently offering for sale at the Classic Motor Hub.
It was the only 1929 Aston Martin Works Entry raced by Augustus "Bert" Bertelli himself.
The car was a 2-time Brooklands Double 12 entrant, raced at Donnington, in the 1929 Irish GP at Phoenix Park, and at many more circuits and hill climbs.
It has had a recent full mechanical restoration, and in 2016 won First in Class at the prestigious Amelia Island Concours D’Elegance; was exhibited at Pebble Beach in 2015; and was an entrant in the last three Mille Miglia’s.
As you can see, the history and provenance of this pre-war racer is quite phenomenal.
