This week I rescued a baby sulphur-crested cockatoo (it had lost its tree hollow), last week a baby Galah (again, lost tree hollow). It got me thinking (again) about Sydney’s development which is having a devastating effect on our wildlife. It’s all good and well they are planting new trees but it does not replace the 100 year old valuable tree hollows.
This made me think of the kookaburras I photographed with @josh_cook_123 who also lost their tree hollow. Swipe to see what they looked like as they grew. #kookaburra

When Callum's mum contacted me early this year about taking his graduation photos, I have to admit I was a little confused, because I am sure it was only just the other day that Callum was at the same primary school as my son, (who is only starting high school next year). Somehow in the blink of an eye, six years have passed by, without it feeling like any time has passed at all. Those first few years before children start school, you feel like you know and see every part of their daily lives. Then they start school, and before you know it, they are off to high school, then graduating high school. It is actually scary just how fast those school years go without really realising it.
If I can give a little suggestion to those parents who are venturing into the world of school very soon, be that crazy parent who is involved in every aspect of your child's life, where you can. Be on the school P and F, work in the canteen at their sports days, sell hotdogs to fundraise so they can go away and compete in their sport of choice, learn how to do a dance hair bun (not even joking, this is actually an accomplishment you should be proud of once you can do it), so your child can dance in the concerts, and feel like you are a taxi for pretty much most of the year running your children to what feels like a million training sessions, every day of the week.
I am that crazy mum, and although I know I sometimes complain that I never have any time, I wouldn't change it for anything. I feel like I still get to be involved in every aspect of their lives, and although I know in not so many years, they will leave the nest, I will hopefully feel like I was present in those precious years. Congratulations Chyma and Callum on graduating, and all the best for what the future holds for both of you. You will both make a difference in this world 💕 #leoniewinksphotography#mountisaphotographer#aipp#aippaccreditedprofessionalphotographer#year12formal#graduation

Fashion Photography / High End Retouching - Brought to you by Nikon
Stef is an Australian photographer, based in Perth, Western Australia, specialising in fashion, beauty and portraits photography.
With a career spanning over 15 years her portfolio contains work published globally.
“I have a passion for shooting strong, inspiring female figures in my photography. Growing up in remote coastal towns in Australia's west coast, I have fond memories of wide open lands, golden sun rays and hot white sands leading to crystal clear salty waters. With nothing to do and nowhere to go I would spend hours creating stories in my head of strong heroines saving the day and following their dreams. I let my imagination run wild."
"My photography goal is to conceptualise and shoot images that celebrate the power of believing in ourselves. That girls and women can be whoever and do what they want to do in life.”
Stef has won many awards for her work, including West Australian Commercial Photographer of the Year and WA Portrait Photographer of the Year.
Stef has lectures extensively on photography and is an Ambassador for Elinchrom Lighting Equipment."

Costa Blanca or Costa del Sol – where should I buy?
Most people looking to buy property in Spain are seeking beautiful beaches, plentiful sunshine, stunning golf courses, a host of sea and land-based leisure activities and fabulous cuisine. All of which Spain’s southern coast has in abundance! This means it can be hard for buyers to pin down the area that is best suited to them. As such, the helpful @fastighetsbyran team has put together this comparison of the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol – to help you make up your mind!Full article:
