What is normal?
It's great that what Stan Lee has created is still relevant. The past 10 years of Marvel movies has introduced comic book characters to people young and old who may never have picked up a comic book in their life. I imagine even those that used to say comic books are just for kids, or geeks, or nerds.
To be able to talk to a wide range of people now about characters I have read in comic books since I was kid all the way up to today is an awesome feeling.
Its a feeling of inclusion, of being a part of a society that would in the past look upon a "comic book nerd" as a bit of a weirdo or someone who should grow up, to actually enjoying and contributing to pop culture conversations with these "nerds".
Im not a typical guy by any means, I don't drink beer or alcohol a lot, nor do I like it much at all, I don't get into sports, I don't smoke, I don't always feel comfortable outside of my own space but I try to do it for others around me to make them comfortable and to feel included.
I like cartoons, comics, Star Wars, gaming, collecting cool toys, going to the movies and spending time with my wife who accepts me for all those things and actually enjoys a few of the things I like (she can actually hold a decent conversation to anyone about super heroes now 😉) Does all that make me wierd and nerdy? Nerdy maybe, but at the end of the day I am a good person, probably because I look at life differently, probably because I get a sense of right and wrong from the stories I grew up with.
現在就讓我們一起緬懷這位永恆的漫威之父吧😔Half of my figures are created by his hand, and now we can never seen him in the movie again...it really makes me sad 😭 R.I.P
