Things are just things. They can be replaced. Family/friends cannot. Over 100 aftershock jolts today. Thankful for family and reevaluating all the crap I have. Watching The Santa Clause movie, on our broken TV from the quake, to try to ease these nerves we all have from the strong ass jolts. It's been a rough day for us all. Poor little man has been so strong but needs to be with his momma at all times. Pray for us all and stay safe everyone 🙏❤
I swiped this from @uafairbanks and added a couple cities for the benefit of my Outside friends... 😉 The red dots happened today. The yellow dots were Nov. 14-Nov. 29th. Those are ALL the earthquakes that have happened here since the 14th.(Mostly little bitty ones nobody notices.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ The big quake was down where all the BIG red circles are, surrounding the bullseye labeled "ANCHORAGE." I live near the bullseye labeled "FAIRBANKS," which is 360-some road miles north of Anchorage. In between the two is the Alaska Range, including large mountains like Denali. (It's kind of a big deal! 😉) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, in summary, there was zero danger here where I live. No earthquake damage. No tsunami danger. Nothing even fell off my bookshelf. (If you saw my bookshelf, you'd understand that means it wasn't bad at all. 😂) We're totally fine. And thankfully, there aren't even any reports of serious injury or death in Anchorage. Which I'm amazed (and also relieved) by.
I'm also kind of amazed that some people in my area (myself included) even felt the quake at all. That means the shockwaves traveled ~350 miles, through a MAJOR mountain range, in about a minute. The official earthquake time was 8:29am AKT. When I started feeling I immediately checked the time: 8:30. That's pretty damn impressive.

It's been an exciting day here in Alaska!
The kids and I sat together through both quakes and besides a rescued Christmas cactus and the sliding door opening itself, we are safe and sound!
Power company is working on restoring power to some of our neighbors.
Thank you SO much to all the family and friends who reached out to us today. @yaboyjdizzle has been busy at work with Anchorage airport being shut down, but we appreciate the support!
