Look @glitter_and_jams ...I officially installed our classroom fairy door. Now fairies can pay our classroom a visit. I’m going to have to pick your brain again to get all the details on how you’re using yours. Thank you again for this awesome gift! Big hugs to you my friend. 💕

Can you tell how excited I am for the new school year in this photo? I love my new ID Badge! 💕
I’m so happy with how my room turned out! I’m also kinda freaking out about doing flex seating. Any last minute tips and tricks for successful flex seating?
Also a full room tour is in my highlights!
I have always loved ways to implement growth mindset activities into class. This set from @two.little.birds.tpt looks like such an awesome way to bring it into the younger grades!!! 😍 She created 7 student recognition cards, posters, coffee links, a bulletin board banner, and a bunch more! Love it!!

Aside from the cuteness overload, doesn’t this picture just scream instant engagement?! ✨Julie @teachwithsparkle is my instafriend turned real life teacher bestie when we met @getyourteachon in January. Everything Julie does is for her students aka CHAMPIONS.🏆Her room transformations are top notch and she always shares the creative ways she makes magic happen in her classroom. From content songs to community building she’s a constant source of inspiration.✨Show her some love today. 💕 #fridayfavorites#friendsnotfollowers#teachersfollowteachers#setthestagetoengage
Well, I did it! I survived my first day! It was such a whirlwind that I didn’t take any photos of anything. I love my kids so much, and even though it was a crazy, blur of a day, I can already tell this is going to be a great year.
Also, I gave in a bought a @the_happy_planner for the year. I’m so excited about it.
I’m going to brag on myself a little bit. I’ve almost met my step goal, walked 4 miles (according to the track at the park), and am now having a healthy breakfast. Getting back into routines is hard but when I see this it makes me so glad I’m trying to better myself! #4thgradeteacher#iteachtoo#iteach4th#happierme#healthierme#progress
I had such a wonderful time doing this collab with @katie_forteachers@forteachers . Check out what Katie sent me from England and then check out what I sent her by watching her video. See full video on YouTube. Link to channel in profile. Thanks for watching!
It’s so great being back doing what I love (outside of training my furry friends). 4th Grade Teaching @ SEAS, St. Elizabeth Anne Seton - Tucson, AZ. This has been the most rewarding job. I am in my third year and my class is super excited to learn. Math and Science, Theatre, and after school Math League is a pleasure to teach. This year I have so much lined up and I have a great new co-teacher. We are looking forward to many years ahead! #feelingblessed It’s been a long road and because of my awesome sister and her supportive husband, my sweet, smart, and funny niece and nephew... I feel like part of the family. Moving here going on five years now I do feel welcomed into the community. The support of my friends, and because of my relationship with God, I am prepared. 🙏🏻☺️ #nowyouareallcaughtup#seas#4thgradeteacher#letsgetitdone#sohappytoteachagain 👨🏻💻
First (official) teacher workday back and I can’t help but do a little R E M I N I S C I N G as I walk into my classroom this morning. •
~The school I teach at was my elementary school (K-8) and this was my 6th grade social studies classroom! Although it is now the 4th grade hall, it is just the same as it was when I was a student here. (Maybe a little more color 😉) ~In this classroom, I sat beside the cute boy who is now the man that became by HUSBAND in June of this summer. ✨Being able to teach at the school I attended and have so many childhood memories in is so special! Sometimes it just leaves me speechless and all I really know to say is that God is so so good. ✨

The classroom is coming slowly coming together. Placing these bookshelves here is something new I’m trying this school year. PS: I love the view outside my classroom windows. 💜
Just finished painting this together with my fellow ESE teachers and our ESE chairperson @rcalveiro as a way to come together and have a great time as we prepare to start the school year together. It was so much fun! Now I have another painting to add to my classroom’s art gallery. 💜
📚Taste a Book Tuesday📚 Restart by @gordonkorman is the story of a do over. Chase Ambrose is the 8th grade’s biggest football star— and bully— who falls off his roof and is left without memory of who he was before. His amnesia is a chance to change his life. Will he do it? CAN he? And can the victims of his terrible actions ever forgive him?🏅🏈💭 Have you read this one? It’s definitely a contender for read aloud this year. #msba1819#restart#gordonkorman#gimmeallthebooks#teacherswhoread
This is one of my most favorite activities to do at the end of the year with my students which results in their end of the year gift from my co-teacher and I.
I originally learned about this idea a few years ago from @megownsafari . She has a free resource on this in her TpT store.
I modified mine to include a section on the back for them to choose the colors they want in their word cloud and a list of positive character traits to help them find that one word that best describes their classmates.
Scroll to the last picture to see an example of the finished product. This is the word cloud my students last year created about me. 💕
